A hotel with its history.. coincidentally, my great-grandfather has a history because he used to work here when the hotel was still named De Boer.. Although some of its facilities look old, this might be because of the historical aspect, which is why they have been preserved.. however, it would be even better if those old facilities were better maintained and rejuvenated without losing their historical value. The staff, from the security, receptionists, restaurant waiters, guest greeters, to housekeeping, are very friendly.. I was satisfied, especially with its location in the city center of Medan..
The entire hotel and room are clean. The pillowcases smell nice. The service is friendly, polite, super fast, and responsive. The breakfast is plentiful and varied every day with many types. One time we asked for a takeaway, and we were provided with a very complete package of rice, side dishes, vegetables, fruit, bottled water, and each received a box of pastries that I think is very generous. They are definitely not stingy with food. Oh yes, the vegetable lontong is super delicious, really the best, top-notch. There are cakes ranging from traditional to international... lupis and croissants are extremely good. There's sweet ginger tea that's just refreshing. Next time, I'll make this my go-to place when I come to Medan again. The hotel's location is extremely strategic. Top notch! 🧡🧡🧡

If you stay here, don't forget to try the chicken porridge and vegetable cake, which are the best. The location is strategic, you can walk to the mall or culinary spots.
The hotel is very great and pretty. It have that historical type of charm. They also happen to be in the middle of the city so it's easy to go everywhere. The hotel is clean, nice and the staff is super friendly also. Stay for 3 days with my family and it has been a great stay. 5/5 recommended

We stayed at Grand Inna for 6 nights because of my uncle's funeral in Petisah. Actually this hotel was my late dad favorite hotel, because it has a small mosque at the back and the location is superb. We have stayed here twice before in 2009 & 2012 before their renovation. It brought back all the fond memories.The staff were supernice, kudos to Pak Rheza, the front desk officer, always tried his best to provide everything. The buffet breakfast was good, I think it was the best buffet breakfast compared to the other 3 or 4 stars hotels in Medan. The hot water wasnt working on the 2nd night, I just needed to inform Pak Rheza and the 2 technicians (Pak Indra & Pak Joko)fixed the prob right away. Pak Pardomuan, Grand Inna staff was also very helpful,cheerful & friendly. He helped us with our bags, luggages & other miscellaneous things. Our flight back to Kuala Lumpur was scheduled at 830am. Bu Parista, the F&B supervisor, packed our breakfast, so we managed to have our breakfast at the airport before boarding. Such a thoughtful and lovely gesture. Our deluxe room consisted of 2 super single beds, very comfy and enough pillows. Aircond worked well. We slept soundly and great water pressure for rainforest hot shower was so comforting too. The housekeeping staff dilligently cleaned our room everyday & sprayed some room parfume so the room smelled nice. My son also loved the swimming pool ( has salty water ) Thank you Grand Inna for the amazing hospitality 👍 See you again.
