Hi Agoda, This is my review for EastBay Suite Apartment, where I stayed last weekend. The place is cozy and comfortable. The room is creatively designed, and I especially liked the toilet mirror with LED lighting very cool. The highlight of my stay was the excellent service from the staff. My wife accidentally left an important personal item in the wardrobe drawer after we checked out. The staff kindly contacted me to inform me about the item, and during collection, they were very professional in ensuring it was handed over to the right person. Thank you, EastBay Suite staff, for your honesty and professionalism.
The property impressed with its cleanliness and well maintained facilities, making it a comfortable choice. Although no smoking is allowed, they provide a smoking area on level 3. The rooftop swimming pool view is amazing at night and they provide a showering space before and after your swim. The bathroom was modern and spotless, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, there could be improvements in terms of walkability for those looking to explore on foot.
I stayed one night in this hotel due to early flight the next day, the hotel is not far from Changi (15 mins ride), and because I want to explore Joo Chiat neighborhood with plenty of cafes, restaurants and gym. It felt like the other side of Singapore, more grounded and low key. The hotel is clean, small with no window but comes with proper price (this is Singapore of course). The staff is nice, she let us leave the key on the table because reception is not 24 hours, and don't bother taking deposit from us. They got small swimming pool too, such a bonus!

Stayed here three nights for a short solo staycay. Booked the double loft (only room left) with low expectations since reviews weren’t great. Surprisingly, I ended up enjoying it, though there are things you should know. 1) Room (Double Loft): Small, as most reviews say. Not suffocatingly so, but tight enough that two people need to coordinate movements. My sister stayed one night, and we had to plan showers/sleeping sides so we didn’t climb over each other. 2) Sleeping setup: One side near the stairs = lower ceiling, crawl space feel, and right under the wall TV (I hit my head a few times). Other side = slightly higher ceiling, power sockets, mini fridge. I alternated sides depending on whether I was alone. If you’re >160cm, sitting up in the loft is tricky. I’m 161cm and still bumped my head. There’s no table or proper surface. I ate, wrote, and did everything on the mattress. Only other option = balancing things on the mini fridge or awkwardly sitting on the steps (which is narrow). I brought a multipurpose cloth to eat on so I didn’t dirty the mattress (recommended). Muslim guests: No space to stand for salah/namaz upstairs, so I prayed sitting/kneeling on the mattress. Only possible spot downstairs is right outside the toilet, not ideal. 3) Housekeeping & Facilities: Towels and sheets only get changed every two days. I’m pretty sure my linens weren’t changed when I checked in because they smelled of the last user. 🤢 One pillow per guest and only one big blanket to share too. Luckily I had my own travel blanket, disposable pillowcase, and pillow spray. Bring your own towel if you plan to swim, they won’t give extra. These are only changed every two days. And like the pillows, it's one-to-one; one pillow/towel to each number of guest. 4) Free laundry: 7pm–midnight only. (Used by housekeeping during the day). But you must buy their $1 laundry pods since guests damaged the machines before with unsuitable stuff. Machines are next to the smoking area on level three, so avoid staying in rooms nearby. 5) Water dispenser, cutlery, plates, cheap coffee sachets and washing sink in common area on each floor for use. But limited stock. 6) Ventilation & Noise: My room didn’t have a main window, just a bathroom one facing the condo behind. I kept it open for air (door shut for privacy), but note; you can see into their units and they can see into your toilet. The shower stall though was quite big for a loft. Bath gel and shampoo provided (but a very basic brand). Toothpaste and brush as well (according to number of guests). Construction noise in the day, but I had earplugs and headphones so it didn’t bug me. 7) Pool was above my room. One evening I heard chairs dragging and noisy laps, but it only happened once. Otherwise, quiet. 8) Pool & Common Areas: Pool is shallow (0.9m) but nice. Mostly empty, even in the evenings. I swam alone twice at different timings, and only once saw a family. The pool was actually my highlight. 9) Common spaces: Only poolside, lobby, or smoking area. None really suitable for eating or it's not allowed in some spaces. 10) Location: 5-min walk to Marine Terrace MRT. Easy buses to Parkway Parade, i12 Katong, iMall, airport, and East Coast beach (though that bus is infrequent). EC beach is also accessible via an underpass in Marine Terrace but it's still a walk. 11) Food: 7-Eleven across and Caltex next door, Esso with 24h mini-mart nearby, cafés, a coffeeshop, pubs and hawker-bar across the road. Halal options available at Marine Terrace (~15-min walk, 3 mins bus). A halal café called Austere Coffee is right behind (light bites, closes 4:30pm). Be cautious though of the butter chicken stall across the road claiming halal but no certification. 12) No parking on-site, only roadside. Can be hard to get lots. Enforcement here is strict. Tips: • Avoid level 1. Rooms squeezed into odd corners; behind reception, beside lobby sitting area, next to lift etc. I'm amazed how they can squeeze tha
