We decided to give this hotel a try due to a promotional discount, but having now experienced it, I can honestly say it’s more than worth its full price. The value was excellent—our stay included a complimentary breakfast, which was a lovely bonus. Location: This hotel is tucked away in a fairly remote spot, so getting there isn’t as straightforward as arriving at a city hotel. You’ll either need to drive, take a taxi, or make sure to catch one of the hotel’s scheduled shuttle services. The tradeoff is a quiet, restful atmosphere that feels removed from the noise and rush. Also, for airplane enthusiasts, the proximity to the airport means you’ll have a front-row view of takeoffs and landings throughout the day. Facilities: The facilities here are top-tier. The gym is easily one of the best I’ve come across in a hotel setting—massive, clean, and well-equipped. It’s not the typical afterthought setup with just a treadmill and a few free weights. This gym has a wide range of machines and benches that cater to every major muscle group, which is a rare find even in resorts. The swimming pool is another standout. Spacious, sparkling clean, and set in a beautifully maintained area, it genuinely gave off a luxury resort vibe. There was great sun coverage throughout the day—perfect for sunbathing or just relaxing in the warmth. Room: The room itself may be the single best justification for the cost. It was ridiculously spacious—one of the largest I’ve ever stayed in—and meticulously clean. The bathroom alone was incredibly spacious and beautiful. Beyond size, it was also thoughtfully equipped, with small luxuries like wine glasses, a bottle opener, a high-quality coffee machine, and plenty of tea and bottled water. Service: Now, this is where the hotel went from “great” to “unforgettable”—and that is almost entirely thanks to Chester. Chester was the heart of our guest experience. From the moment we checked in, he made us feel like more than just hotel guests—his energy was warm, upbeat, and totally genuine. He was friendly without being overbearing, efficient without being rushed, and handled every request with a level of care that made us feel completely looked after. We’re now more than a month past our stay and have gone on to visit a few other places, yet I still subconsciously peg the level of service to what was offered by Chester. He embodies what service at a luxury resort should be: personal, heartfelt, and committed to making each guest feel special. If the hotel ever reads this—Chester is a gem. Treat him like one. The rest of the staff were also helpful and generally pleasant to deal with, but Chester was in a league of his own. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet was another high point of the stay. The dining area was beautifully decorated, easily one of the nicest I’ve seen in any hotel. The spread was generous and clearly a step up from standard hotel buffet fare. Of course, buffet-style meals will never be as finely tuned in flavor as plated dishes, but the taste and variety were still strong. Overall, it was an enjoyable morning experience—relaxing, scenic, and satisfying. Where Things Went Wrong: Shuttle Service & Concierge Unfortunately, our near-perfect stay was let down by the shuttle service—and more specifically, how it’s managed by the concierge team. If you’re planning to stay here, this is a critical thing to know ahead of time. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from key destinations nearby. Sounds great, right? In practice, it comes with several complications: Small capacity: The shuttle is just a minivan—roughly 13 seats. If it’s full, you’re either waiting for the next one or calling a taxi. This is fair given the frequency of trips, but you need to book early. Strict timing: Guests are told to be at the lobby minutes before departure, or the bus will leave without you. We followed these instructions to the letter. We’d successfully reserved two seats, arrived on time, and checked in
