    “Amazing location, food and staff”

We had a great two nights here on a weekend away from Tokyo. The location is breathtaking and the hotel has been recently refurbished. The private onsen were never fully busy when we visited even though the hotel was full. The food was outstanding - no menu was repeated during our stay - and Alfie was really helpful explaining the ingredients in English. :) We had a Japanese style tatami room and slept well. Highly recommended.

    “Lovely stay”

We had a corner room and it was very spacious with a view of the sea on two sides. Unfortunately the weather was bad when we were there. The kaiseiki dinner was good and one of the stand out dishes was the live abalone that was grilled in front of us, though this may not appeal to everyone. The food was mostly seafood and was very fresh. The staff could speak simple English and were polite and attentive.

A hidden paradise with stunning sunset views! The staff were warm and attentive, introducing the hotel and recommending the best spot to watch fireworks. The design beautifully blends Japanese style with modern simplicity. Meals were delicious, and the staff explained each dish with care. It’s a relaxing and memorable stay!

    “It was a lovely accommodation.”

I saw this accommodation on Instagram and made a reservation. It was my first visit to Dogashima Onsen. I was able to see the sunset from the rooftop terrace, and I enjoyed the meal slowly in a private room. The food, mainly fish, was very delicious. Additionally, the staff members were kind, which made it even more wonderful. I would like to stay here again.

“Best cost performance! I want to go again.”

I thought I wanted to go again. The breakfast was really good. I highly recommend it. That day, we had golden eye snapper and crab miso soup (which was heated in a pot), a warm dish of daikon and white fish (delicious as the broth was absorbed and it was warm), nine small side dishes (to go with rice), grilled horse mackerel, pickled vegetables and umeboshi, and unlimited rice—so filling. We were taken to a booth like a private room where we had breakfast while overlooking the ocean. It was the best breakfast. Having warm miso soup and simmered dishes in the morning was wonderful. The private booth style allowed us not to worry about others, and it was very quiet, allowing us to eat calmly. The open-air bath also had a good view and scenery, making me want to go in again. The cost performance was top-notch. Very good.
