When you come out of Ebisu Station and turn into the alley, you can go straight to the accommodation without any difficulty, even if your luggage is heavy. The lobby is on the second floor, and although you have to go up the stairs from the first floor, it's not so difficult that it's burdensome. The staff are friendly and the hygiene of the accommodation is good. The locker room may be small, but I used it well by compromising with the other people staying there. Some other reviews mentioned that they could hear the sound of the toilet when people came and went, but I didn't feel any discomfort like that. The shower room and sauna are also clean and pleasant. There are many reviews that checking out every day is a disadvantage, but I actually liked that I didn't lose the key and could return it. If you stay for consecutive nights, they will do a quick re-check-in for you. They provide enough amenities such as large and small towels, toothbrushes, pajamas, and slippers, and they are all clean. The bed is also cozy because it is changed every day. I am satisfied and recommend it.

The hotel was efficiently managed and surprisingly quiet for a capsule hotel. They even had a sauna, although I didn't have the chance to use it. The only downside was that the pillows were a bit stiff and you have to check out every day if you are staying for more than two nights. Excellent First Time Pod Experience”
Alright, get ready y’all, this is a long one: 1. Tourists who really think it’s ok to not assimilate with the culture they have been welcomed to stay, whether it be short or long term, you suck. Some of you need a lesson on class. Learn the basics. I’ve seen some barbaric behaviors and it’s a shame. 2. My partner and I wanted to experience a pod room for the first quarter of our stay in Japan. We were greeted with exceptional service and a handful of staff who are able to speak in English for support. They laid down their rules: - You are given 1 mesh bag containing: 1 bath towel, 1 face towel, a sleepwear set, and a pair of slippers. Please do not complain over the 100¥ towel replacement. It’s less than $1 USD, be for real! A bottle of water costs more. The price of this pod is so much lower than a hotel room. You are not in a HOTEL! It’s a pod, a dorm if you will. - Check in is strictly 2PM and after, check out is at 10AM, don’t play stupid. This is Japan, they run on efficiency, get familiar. - Saunas are kept clean, I was impressed and the toiletries offered aren’t terrible, mint scent. Buy your own in 7-11 across the street if it’s too much of a scent for you. I beg you, please BE QUIET in the sleeping area/pods. Absolutely NO ONE cares about your day and/or your events. We want to sleep. If you snore, get mouth tape it’s like ¥250 (~$1.75 USD). Go to the lounge on 2F. The pods are not that spacious, if you’re over 6FT’1” (1.85m), those toes will be hanging out of the POD. I don’t make the rules! Know this before you book or practice fetal position. I’d hate to see athletes foot hanging out. Lastly, if you’re staying multiple nights, you still gotta check out. Don’t be mad at the staff, you chose to book! You CAN leave your items in the locker, but you cannot access until after you check back in at 2PM or after. Now that you’ve read all of that, I stayed for 4 nights, and it was lovely. Walking/hiking 25,000 steps a day around Tokyo is a lot but coming back to a hot shower and sauna before snoozing made it worth it. The facilities are very clean and organised and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The sauna was also a lot of fun. The bed was fairly hard and the pillow was made up on plastic beads, which i’m not used to so I didn’t find it to comfortable unfortunately. The location is not bad, it’s a 2 minute walk to Ebisu station and a 25 minute walk (15 minutes by public transport) to Shibuya.

Not Bad for Price”
Overall, I had a pretty good experience at Do-C. The only thing that was horrible was the fact that you have to leave the hotel by 10am so the staff can clean each pod (from 10am-2pm). I don't understand why you have to leave if you're staying multiple days in a row in the same pod. The only reason I can think of is the fact that they rent the pods out during the day to people who wish to nap there. The showers were fairly clean, however there are only 3 private showers (meaning they have a closing door and curtain). There are about 6 other showers that are open, so if you are not comfortable showering publicly with other people, you will have to wait for the private showers to open. The sauna was amazing, but it was the hottest sauna I had ever been in. I would recommend this hotel if you're on a budget as it is cheap and in a good location...especially if you do not have much luggage.
