Disney - Maingate West hotels & places to stay

We have stayed at this hotel before and it is always an incredible experience. The faculty has everything to offer and best of all, the water park is a must when traveling with small children. We end up having a hard time trying to get him to leave to go to Disney World because he wants to stay in the wave pool. This hotel does come with its down sides though. It has some expensive rates and resort fees plus $+20 parking. But if you are looking for a great time then this is the place to go!

The place is large with three pools and at least 5 buildings. First thing I noticed walking into the room was the tiles. I like a hotel that gets rid of the filthy old rugs. The room was recently remodeled with plain finishings and a large flat screen. It was a few minutes further west on 192 than I usually stay but plan to make this my place to stay for each bimonthly Disney world visit. I still arrived at Disney world in less than 30 minutes. The beds were clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but I spend my time in the parks. Well worth the price, which was remarkable low! I even got a call from the front desk after we moved in to the room asking if we were happy with it. A definite yes!

At first we were sent to a SMALL hotel-style room (we paid for a 1 bed villa) where our room key didn't work & our neighbors were fumigating the next-door unit with weed. However after 2 trips back to the lobby (a 10 minute walk) we were re-directed to a beautiful 1 bedroom suite that was larger than our entire house! Definitely worth the trips back and forth as well as the money. HOWEVER if I were to do something different: When you check in they "re-direct" you to another agent. THIS PROPERTY IS A TIMESHARE. The agent told us that it would be a quick 60 min resort "preview" and that if we informed our guide that we weren't interested in buying they would not take anymore of our time showing us numbers. In exchange we'd receive a free breakfast & $100 gift card/some other benefits. 2 HOURS LATER and after having to become somewhat forceful about wanting to leave we were excused. DON'T AGREE TO THE PREVIEW. Also the waterpark is just "ok" & super crowded. We only stayed 1 hour there.

I spent 3 nights here, tons of impressive feeling for this hotel. I booked via agado that gave me interesting rate. I did not expect to meet a very nice ,clean and full facilities at here with booked price. But first time, we entered my room, like a dream, really beyond our expectation. We were so happy with a short distance from shopping mall and not far from disney theme parks. Thanks God for lead me chose this hotel. Our dream comes true!!

The hotel/motel is great just off the park entrance to disney is all you need plenty of parking too. On arrival met and greeted and informed well by guy called junior gave us our breakfast vouchers for entire stay as breakfast was included and all looked well and clean. Rooms are everything you need big has safe,tv,coffee machine, shower and bath etc. Breakfast was just your yogurts, cereals, make your own waffles , tea coffee , juices,beans,saughe. Breakfast stopped a little early for me 9.30 so only ate once. There is tea,coffee available through out the day in reception. All staff friendly greet you when they see you great stay would come back again

we stayed at this hotel for a week while visiting the local disney and theme parks in orlando. the rooms were clean and reasonably spacious and the overall condition of the premises were good. there was an initial mixup with the name of the hotel which resulted in our transfer dropping us off at another nearby hotel because they had swapped names and didn't inform agoda. then when we finally arrived they could not find the agoda booking. staff in general were found wanting in several areas. they appeared ill-informed about most inquiries, provided wrong or misleading information to customers (most noteably the theme park advisors in the foyer) and were not overly friendly. the breakfasts were boring after day one with what looked and tasted like powdered eggs and some disgusting waffles being the highlight and served on paper plates with plastic forks. while this seems to be a usa thing its very tacky and certainly does nothing for the environment.

*Arrived at 1pm ready to check in after 22hrs in the air flying. Was told I could not check in until 3pm. I asked to check in early or pay extra to checkin early as with all other hotels do. Nope. Then the front desk staff left to take his daughter somewhere and was gone for over an hour. 3 other people waiting for assistance when he finally got back. So, he decided to check me in after that. At about 2pm. *ROOMS ARE CLEANED EVERY OTHER DAY. Yes, that is correct. I spent all day business to come back to a room that was not cleaned and out of towels for a shower. Also, the towels are like crusty hard and old. They were clean, but just very old and crusty hard from being cleaned. I made the best out of my trip and still had a good time.

I didn't get to stay there. The day before, i called them and asked about deposit and i was told no deposit, just a card on card which would be ok by Apple Pay as well. Well, i booked through Agoda and when i got there, they told me that, i have to have a credit card on file to check in which i never ran into before. Kind of wierd, cause a lot of travelers are foreigners who may not have the a US credit card.

Bed was super lumpy with fall offs on both sides with a huge hill in the center the carpet was nasty and tore up their breslfast was terrible cold food stuff was all empty no coffee cream cheese tasted like it was out of date sure glad it was free if I could get a refund I would if was great to only stay one night then we got to go to Polynesian at Disney, they should come here and see how a room should look like

Overall the rental property was in good condition and a good size and we enjoyed our stay. However we had a few issues during our stay.... Oven was incredibly old and in need of replacement, microwave door handle was falling off, heating/air conditioning unit was a complete pain in the ass, even after programming it to just keep a sensible temperature it did its own thing. Woke up with the house at 28 degrees! Couldn't go outside to the pool area as it was alarmed, very disappointing. All of this could have been prevented with some form of instruction on arrival. Only 5 coat hangars too in the whole house! On the last day we found 2 dead cockroaches by the front door and many running amok in the garage. Lastly the price we were quoted by agoda was £150 short of the final price we paid for the week.

Check in 8.45pm, check out 10am cleaners came knocking at 9.45. No sitting room, no blackout blinds. No plug for bath.supposive kitchen in a small cupboard with no kettle.avoid this place. Much better value and apartments on site. This is a 2 bed condo split in two to make 2 units and is awful.woke at 7.30am to hedge cutting outside bedroom. No response from letting agent.

We had a wonderful stay at Festiva! We stayed for 3 nights to visit Disney world and we had pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfy. Much better experience compared to some other places we’ve stayed at beforehand. The price was excellent and affordable for a resort style suite. Overall excellent experience!
