Exceptional guesthouse”
A wonderful place to stay! This was my second and my husband’s third stay at the Dewantara. It’s a beautiful place with immaculate gardens and lovely pool surrounded by tropical gardens plus billiard table, table tennis, mini golf and hammocks! Lovely big comfortable villas with everything you need including wifi, bathroom amenities, lovely fresh fluffy towels. The highlights were the delightful Wayan and his team and exceptional food in the restaurant. We had a new interesting vegetarian feast created for us every day including lots of produce grown in the garden. The location is a bit remote from the town but it’s a few minutes walk from a beach with a little beach bar and a local kiosk. Highly recommended and worth staying more than just one night!

I stayed at Dewantara while doing some exploring in the North of Bali on my own. I initially booked for two nights but immediately extended as it was so nice. The staff were incredibly friendly and once they realised I was vegetarian made a whole range of amazing local dishes I'd never tried before. This was genuinely some of the best food I've eaten in Bali and Indonesia. The individual villas are lovely and big, with very comfortable beds and bathrooms. The gardens are peaceful and quiet with separate pagodas with a pool table and table tennis table. The pool is massive and one of the best I've come across. In terms of location it's a short walk down to the beach where you'll find a friendly little fishing village. The people are very welcoming and happy to serve you a beer or soft drink while you watch the sunset. There's also a great mini mart close by for any necessities. Other areas such as Pemuteran and Menjangan are an easy ride away! l definitely be back.

A warm and cosy boutique villa”
The resort was newly opened in early 2018. The resort grounds are immaculate and well kept by the staff who are always seen working on the grounds, keeping and maintaining it. The location of the resort is slightly off the main road,found behind a few residential homes. There is no signage at the main road either. It's not beach front but the black sanded beach is easily accessible 5 mins walk away. The villa itself is spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff are ever helpful and friendly, especially the GM Mr Wayan. As for the food, it is quite limited and there is no fixed menu but it suffices for us as we were out most of the time. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay there and almost didn't want to leave. Highly recommended for the hospitality!
