Denpasar hotels & places to stay

Seriously one of my favorite hostels I've been in quite a while. Staying here has helped me gain a whole new focus on my business and being surrounded by like-minded individuals has helped me a great deal. If you are looking to become a digital nomad or already one I suggest staying here. It's clean, comfy, updated, amazing wifi, and the people who work here are top notch amazing! They always do their best to help you if they can. I can't wait to come back.

The stay was awesome. The room which we stayed-in, was big and most of all it was clean especially the bathroom. The 2nd best thing about the room is the view. There's a small river next to the Hotel that gave us a super relaxing sounds and there are trees around the river, so when we woke up we could see the trees and birds thru the window. The Paica Hotel served some kitchen utensils like a gas stove, a refrigerator, a water dispenser, and some plates and glasses for each room, so you can cook if you want to. Not to forget, there's a relaxing spot next to the kitchen, where you can enjoy your meal and the nature at once. Fortunately we were the first customer they had, so we met the owner, and he was really friendly and nice. The owner has had many experiences in managing Hotels n Villas and Paica is his baby, so yeah no doubt eventho Paica Hotel is new, but you can definitely have a great time staying in Bali like we did.

We had a wonderful stay at the Golden Tulip. The staff were amazing; very attentive and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean, and the pool area is lovely - very quiet and relaxing. The restaurant is amazing - the choice of food is brilliant and it's ridiculously cheap for what you get - I paid $12 for a delicious three course meal. Be aware that the location isn't the best - we just used this hotel as a stop off from Denpasar and luckily, the facilities were so good we didn't need to leave the complex! Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

I was looking for the cheapest hotel I could find that was close to where I was staying which lead me to this hotel. We got in around 4pm. We were brought to our room and i was surprised with what I saw. The room was small and the walls were so dirty. The tv didn't show anything in English. So, nothing to watch. Air condition worked pretty good. The bedsheets looked a little dirty but I can live with that. Now, let me talk about the bathroom... How do I start? First, it was really small. You can take a cr*p and take a shower at the same time. Stretch both arms and that's how "big" the bathroom is. The flush didn't work. The toilet tank had a plywood for a cover and the tiles (wall and floor) were full of stains! Really disgusting! Public toilets are way cleaner than this bathroom. I am not exaggerating when I say this. The room was small but just ok. The cabinet was almost broken down, you can't even put anything inside. The internet worked pretty well in the room despite the hotel management saying that it won't reach the rooms. But it worked pretty well. We were using our laptops by the way. Best thing about this place are the local food on the street. We had the banana fritters with cheese and chocolate on top. It was awesome! We go back to this street at least every 2 weeks just to buy this super yummy treat!! They also have dogs in this hotel. I think they are the hotel owner's dogs. We had fun playing with them! They were so "hyper" and they entertained us the whole time we were in this hotel. Well, it was just 1 night but these dogs were just fun! To sum it up, I would never go back to this hotel. I'm sure there are nicer places nearby that are at least cleaner. This is hands down, "The dirtiest hotel I've ever been to".

The hotel is very good for sleeping at nights (value for money). If you wish to stay in the hotel during the day time, it'll be a poor choice. We were out of the hotel during the day time on all 5 days. This was our plan too. Breakfast is too minimal (fried rice or rice, egg, watermelon pieces coffee, tea). Not worth a couple of $$ extra. There is no restaurant at the hotel. But, Grab / Go Jek food delivery is really quick.

It was a very good city hotel, worth it, with cheap price. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is very spacious. The only disadvantage of this hotel is that the location is quite hard to find at first. but if you already know the location of this hotel and you use googlemap, you can easily find it. And because of the location, it also has quiet surroundings, which is good for us. Its location is quite close to Monument Bajra Sandhi, Government offices, around 10 minutes to Sanur, and around 5 minutes to the malls in Denpasar.

We flew in late to Denpasar airport and caught a taxi to Sugiras which cost 200,000IDR (perhaps could have battered to 150,000IDR but we were exhausted). Even though it was late they welcomed us in. Room was very clean and modern, the bed was an actual King, firm but comfortable, and the bathroom lovely. "Splurging" on aircon was a very good idea, just to get a break from the heat. The location wasn't a concern for us as we just needed to be close to the airport. This did make it tricky to find food late at night. In the morning we were served toast with a fried egg and a tiny piece of sausage, it was enough and free. Finally they quickly helped us get an affordable car to our next destination, an hour and a half away. Overall it was exactly what we needed for one night in transit.

I stayed only one night at this hotel. I landed in DenPasar in the evening and I wanted to take the bus to the north early morning. so this place was very reasonable. Simpel but clean rooms for cheap price (including a TV!!). Can hold a minibus in front of the entrance to go to Ubung bus station or walk to the main road. I got free coffee in the morning. But i heard from another person that he even got a free small breakfast.

This place is a good place to stay. But front office dont welcome well. High temper and intonation makes us so uncomfortable. After we were directed to our room, there is no communication. So we strugle hardly guessing what is our right , what we can do or cannot do, how to operate WIFI, kitchen set etc. Fortunately there is contact on whatsapp, and we were helped by him. If the staff are trained to handle guest well we are so happy with this places and willing to recomend others.

I travel a great deal and I look for a comfortable bed, good quality room and good facilities such as a business centre, pool and good food and beverage service. I found all of that at this hotel. Its just outside the main drag but only 15 minutes from Sunset Boulevard. By contract hotels in Legian and Seminyak are often 20-25 minutes away from Kuta. The rate is really good and the overall experience excellent, much better than most 3 stars. There is underground parking, a coffee shop with great coffee and friendly staff. I stayed one night and it was a really good experience. It's not noisy and has everything most travellers need including usual nearby shops and laundry. Cost wise its much cheaper than many I have stayed in and I will stay there again.

wow, it certainly is a wow deal. i'm pleased to have stayed with pop hotel in denpasar, due to the fact that i need to be in the area for running some chores. the room although is not huge, but it's very clean and compact. beds are comfortable. services are up to the professional standard. the conventional breakfast is such a delight- the way it's presented and the taste of it. for the things i need to get done, the location is so convenient for me. there are plenty choices of restaurants in walking distance, and i've discovered few good ones too. whenever i need to be in denpasar area, it would make pop hotel defenitely on my top choice list.

I stayed there for 3 days and I only spent less than 15 hours in the room because I traveled a lot. I got the sleeping quality cause I normally got tried when I reached the hotel and slept straight away. The room was nice (it should fit for 4 people instead of solo traveler just like me). The AC was stunning!!! I loved the cold as it was freaking hot in Bali at the time. The downside is the location. It was almost impossible to locate the place, even when you ask around (people don't know). And the other thing is the quality of the staff. The lady seemed just never smiled at me.

We booked two night in this hotel but we only stayed for one night. The first night we came, there was no room for us. They said there was double booking with Agoda system. Luckily the owner was kind and responsible and we were transferred to another hotel, although it was a bit remote. The second night we got a room. It was nice and spacious. The only lack was the location, which was away from city attractions.

There was a problem with the booking so we ended up staying down the street at the villa. It was so amazing and beautiful and the honestly has access to the villa as well which has a beautiful pool and garden. The family is really sweet and welcoming. We had no problems at all. It is about 20 minutes from Canggu so you will need transportation. It is located in a small village in the rice terraces which was a really nice getaway for us. Breakfast was included and really great. Delicious banana pancakes with fruit and tea or coffee. We really loved this family and will definitely be back!

Use grab to go to get around, there is a day/night market right outside of the hotel with a few food stalls and fruits. During the day if u walk left u find a few warang thats are ok, go towards the bus station and u find a few more. At night walk left or right of the hotel and u will find food stalls on both sides of the road, I found the stalls on the left hand side to be better price, halal stand with bbq ayam ( 10000 idr )and nasi / mei goreng (10000idr) futher left u find a son n father making martabak manis ( sweet ) , ayam or sapi (savory).. highly recommended and addictive,i bought from here as there portion sizes werent to big ( good for 2 ) and prices were not more than 25000idr for a fully loaded martabak manis . Keep going up the road u find sata ayam and mei ayam stalls , n a few more treats. fun stops when u see the traffic lights at the junction. If you go right just before the circle k u find a roti goreng stand ( they like donuts n were 1 idr each) really nice with some self service coffee from circle k.. * note some of these place run out of stock before 8 so dont go out late or u have to go to central denpasar for food. If you do go to denpasar just get a grabbike to level 21 mall where there all the usual western food outlets , food court and at the back of the mall ( head right at the exit next to starbucks ) you find a whole bunch of local food stalls. If you want to use the gym then go to harrys reception and it will cost 60000idr with access to the gym n pool for the whole day, shower takes some getting use to but if you not really to fussed its not bad, a few ants roaming around and if the cleaning service opens the door when they cleaning expect there to b mosquito in your room. Bed was soft and sheets are lightly stained but clean, 2 bottles of free water soap and shampoo are included , u can refill ur bottles in the dining area or reception to save money. Cleaning staff are enthusiastic and will start banging ur door from as ear

I had an absolutely incredible stay at Ganga. I was initially concerned at the slightly out of town location but my worries were alleviated when I saw the property in daylight. Absolutely stunning. Lush, hanging vines, beautiful, deep swimming pool and greenery all around. The staff here were what really made my stay outstanding. Incredibly chirpy and helpful, took the time to get to know me (including the manager who would often sit down with me for a chat) and were always very eager to make sure my every need was met. Really genuinely lovely people who took pride in their job. Breakfast was included and beautiful. I could select from a set menu and would have poached eggs, fruit, coffee and juice every morning in the very cosy little dining area right beside the pool. A-la-carte dining was also exceptionally good value with every dish cooked from fresh, fantastically presented and with no particular item exceeding more than about $4. In summary, this holiday is very new, (built only last year) well equipped and adding features such a gym in coming months and very well staffed and run. I will most certainly be returning here in the future. The only negative comment I have (and it beyond the control of the hotel itself)is the road leading up to the property's entrance, which is absolutely treacherous. This is due to the construction taking place in the vicinity so if you do decide to rent a motorbike, be EXTREMELY careful and drive slowly, especially at night. Motorbikes, by the way, are rentable directly from the reception desk at only $4 dollars a day. Absolute bargain! Like I said, these are professionals and can do so many things to make your stay an incredible one. Thanks everybody!

It was just a short stay. My return flight was at midnight, so I booked the hotel a few hours before check-in. I booked the hotel because I need to check-out from the hotel that I stayed for the previous night. So basically I stayed there just to take a shower and have a rest while waiting for my flight. In the hotel description stated that the hotel provides shuttle transportation to the airport, BUT you actually need to pay for it(about 100k)!
