"We initially booked this hotel for 2 days, coz we thought we might want to move and experience another hotel. It turned out this hotel is great, so we booked the hotel for the rest of our stay in Yogyakarta. Mostly this hotel is booked by the local Indonesian, I rarely see the foreigner in this hotel. The breakfast was great, a lot of variety of food. We also tried the Jogyavaganza, culinary experience of local Yogyakarta foods by the pool on every Saturday. It was good. I just feel the area of the elevator is a little bit too stuffy and hot. Other than that everything was fine.."

"The exterior of Melia Purosani looks very pretty. It overlooks the cityscape and the position of our assigned room is facing where the sun rise and sets. The deluxe room is huge for 2 persons, and every day there is a complimentary snack. It's a nice gesture after a day out traveling! The restaurant where it serves breakfast has very good chef! the Nasi Padang is our favourite on the Menu. Generally the food quality and taste is above average as it suited our taste buds. One of our good experiences in Yogyarkarta! This hotel is definitely a must-visit! It's a stone throw away from Malioboro shopping district, the Ambarukko mall if you would like some variety shopping and it's a 30-45 mins away from Airport. Such ease! Thank you to the staff who worked tirelessly over the Puasa Holiday to make our experience in Yogyakarta one of the best! "

"5-star quality hotel in a good central location in Yogyakarta. Great value for money spa and the hotel is right next to a large shopping center with a hypermart for daily necessities and a money changer with the most competitive rates I’ve seen while in Indonesia. The layout of the hotel is slightly inefficient while the entrance to the hotel is hidden behind the shopping mall. Overall, great value for a newly furnished hotel with exceptional room layout and comfortable beds if you want to consider using this hotel as a home base for daily excursions to Borabudur or Prambanen."

"I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Why I chose this hotel? It because many travellers from Indonesia and outside rated it as excellent hotel in Jogja. This hotel located about 10 - 15 minutes walking from Malioboro and Taman Pintar. Also located near the Bakpia Pathuk shops. I got my room upgraded to excecutive room (wooow) without any additional charge. The room is spacy, so we didn't feel in the small room. This hotel is have good breakfast quality. The service from front desk and staffs were good. I think the price is also cheap enough compared to waht we got here."

"My stay in the hotel with my family for vacation is fantastic. The staff are friendly, professional and prompt in their service. The food in the hotel restaurant are nice. We like the swimming pool and the children playroom the most. Only one bad logistic issue that does not reflect the hotel's culture and image. Everything in the hotel is spick and span, except for the old iron and ironing board when I needed it to iron my clothes. In fact I have to ask for a second time before they gave it to me. The reason being they does not have enough "old" iron to lend it to me and I have to be put on the waiting list. After much pressing before they deliver almost immediately. But fortunately, the staff still bother to rectify my problem. Overall, I would recommend this as the best hotel in Yogyakarta."

Finishing of the building are not in a good condition, the location was a bit hard to find. What stood me the most were the staff, they were really friendly and even they will know your name, the ambiance as well, just made me want to stay another night, definitely a home when i go back to Yogyakarta."

"This is a good hotel in Yogyakarta. A little out of the main tourism area but not too far and good for business travelers. The highlight was an extremely helpful manager (Mr. Oke, I think?) who went out of his way to ensure everything went well and even booked a dinner for my team at a restaurant after I'd asked him for a recommendation. "Everything is great! Property looks very new and very nice. Car parking seems sufficient (or it is well-managed by hotel security/gatekeeper staff). Professional service from all staff (gatekeeper, bellboy, receptionist), they are very helpful and full of service mind. The room is still in new condition and clean; bath room amenities is up to standard. Elevator and corridors are also clean. There is an area under construction but it is not obstruct nor disturb our stay. The only thing I find unpleasant is the light at the open closet (cloth hanging) that it is automatically on at all time when you put the key card on. We asked receptionist and were informed that it will be turned off only when the keycard is off. I found this unpleasant because I was not comfortable sleeping with the light (though my roommate consider that is minimal to dim light and she slept well!!). In conclusion, this is a perfect choice of hotel we selected in Yogyakarta. Recommended!!"

Discover the Best Time to Visit Yogyakarta for Your Dream Vacation

Yogyakarta, also known as Jogja, is a vibrant city located on the island of Java in Indonesia. It is a popular destination for travelers from all over the world, thanks to its rich cultural heritage, stunning natural landscapes, and delicious local cuisine. However, choosing the best time to visit Yogyakarta can be a bit tricky, as the city experiences two distinct seasons: the wet season and the dry season. The wet season in Yogyakarta runs from October to April, with the heaviest rainfall occurring from December to February. Despite the rain, this season can be a great time to visit, as the city is lush and green, and the temperatures are cooler. The wet season is also the low season for tourism, which means that hotel rates are generally lower and there are fewer crowds to contend with. On the other hand, the dry season in Yogyakarta runs from May to September, with June to August being the driest months. This is the peak season for tourism, as the weather is sunny and pleasant, making it ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities. However, this also means that hotel rates are generally higher, and the city can be crowded with tourists. Ultimately, the best time to visit Yogyakarta depends on your preferences and travel plans. If you are looking for a budget-friendly trip and don't mind a little rain, then the wet season may be the best time for you. However, if you want to enjoy the city's outdoor attractions and don't mind paying a little extra for accommodation, then the dry season may be the way to go.
