Where to stay in Subic (Zambales)
Subic (Zambales) hotels & accommodations

Superb hotel. Its all about location, ok its not in Subic but you dont need to be near the city as its all in this hotel. Great views and a gorgeous beach. Sea was 10m away from the room, but the beach was only a 1m away. Dinner menu with traditional & western food all reasonably priced, dining is inside or outside on a large patio on the beach, invariably ther...

Spent Valentines day with my husband there. We booked a casita (water villa). We never expect that there would be a water villa type of accommodation in Subic. It is just simply great. We enjoyed our stay so much, actually one can enjoy the whole stay by just merely staying in the room haha! Especially if you booked a casita, you can stay at the veranda all day! No jo...

As of July 2019, they improved already. Most of the negative issues written before were corrected. Their restaurant is good at average price but taste great. Rooms are big and clean. Staffs are well attentive. Beach front and has infinity pool. Gym and water activities for rent. Book thru agoda as rates are cheaper than book directly at Acea. For senior citizen , mobil...

went there with the colleagues,it was long drive but with the peace and tranquility of the sea it made it worth the wait....staff was good and very well mannered...i personally expected a hotel or a resort to be abit too much like an apartelle...what do you expect on a beach hotel?????...beach...drinks....music and abit of party and chit chat,right?...it always starts ...

Horizon hotel is a very clean hotel. The rooms are big and the bathroom is big compared to other hotels in Subic. There is ref in the room. Aircon and water heater works well. There is breakfast, which not all hotels in Subic offer. Staff is kind and courteous. Will be back here again.

highly recommend to stay in this hotel if you are at Subic. though it is not beachfront, the pool area is good enough to freshen up. after all it is not advisable to swim at the beach along Subic waterfront. the hotel is at the center, making places to eat and shop reachable by legs if you are up for a walk. got the 2 queen-bed room and it is huge, same with the bathro...

Got a great discount through Agoda, so we we're expecting less than stellar amenities. Surprisingly, we had a great stay. The room was pretty big, king sized bed was comfy and the room had all the little things to make things convenient. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Not the best hotel on the waterfront but it doesn't claim to be so it was all good. The be...

We stayed 3 nights in this wonderful hotel. From check in to check out everything was perfect. My compliments to all the staff at Court Meridian for making our stay very pleasant. We had a room on the 4th floor with a view of the beach/bay and it was beautiful. Nothing beats sitting on the veranda with your family and watching the sunset over the hills surrounding the ...

Our family had a wonderful time at Blue Rock Resort. Of all the beach resorts that I've been to in Subic, I think this is the one that I'll be back to. For the very reasonable price that I paid, I already got a Beachfront and spacious room with the basic necessities. Considering the price that I got in Agoda, it is really worth the 3.5hr travel. :) The beach is good, ...

We went on a Marian pilgrimage in Botolan Zambales and opted to stay overnight in Subic Bay. It was our first time in a hotel with complimentary dinner at the beach instead of the usual free breakfast. Upon checking in, we were informed that due to a wedding reception, the dinner by the beach will not be available but instead, a buffet breakfast will be served the foll...

A very good budget hotel in Subic Bay, near Mangoe's resort/dive shop and the main street of bars in Subic. Jepneys and trikes (and larger buses) all run along the main road when you need to get somewhere else. Rooms are clean, desk is monitored 24hrs and there is a security guard at night. I felt very secure and appreciated the attention to cleanliness and service ...

In short I had a grate time, ideal location no need to rent a car or even ride a trike. The staff friendly and nice down to earth, the food granted its not a lot but it is well worth it never miss my American Breakfast. The Happy hour the best in the world or the best in the Philippines only PHP 39.00 where else could you get that. The pool clean, the private Beach is ...

It was my 4th time in Subic and the last travel was with a group. Tried many hotels in Subic and this is the best so far. Location is near to everything like spa and restaurants. You have to travel a little going to Subic attractions. Very clean, room is spacious with complete toiletries. Facilities are good as well. They has swimming people though it's cold to swim b...

the hotel was very clean with all the amenities that you wouldnt normally see in hotels in Subic such as kitchen, washing machine etc.. it is very good for families who wants to go on an extended stay due to affordability. The only con is the loft may not be too safe for very young kids so adults have to be on close watch

I have just stayed at the Seorabeol for the second time and am planning to do so again soon. If you want to stay in the SBFZ of Subic Bay, this is a good hotel. The pool is one of the best designed I have seen in a long time. Starts at 2 foot for kids and slowly slopes down into 6 foot for adults and is a huge pool. Old but still good. The rooms are big and comfy. Huge...

I have been traveling to Subic from Manila for almost 10 years for both business and pleasure with my family. Treasure Island has been my go to hotel for the last 5 years. I have stayed at almost all of the Hotels in the area and none can even come close to value for the money and location. Yes there are other newer hotels but none of them have the location Treasure ...

It was the best vacation ever for us considering that we got the best hotel in Subic. Everything was so perfect. Also, customer service and courteousy of the staff made it even better. My 6-yr old son enjoyed a lot, especially the bathtub. The toilet itself was strategically designed - i let my son on the tub by himself while at the same time I could watch him while I ...

The room is clean, has relaxing lighting, large window to let natural light in in the morning, with ample amenities, has lots of space (can possibly accommodate a small family), and the best of all, the room we got has a bathtub. There's free first-come, first-serve garage parking and lots of parking outside the hotel. The staff are very accommodating, courteous, and h...

Highly recommended hotel. I think it's the best in subic. The rooms are big and clean the bathroom is awesome we loved it especially there's a bathtub. The rooftop pool is amazing our kids loved it they don't want to leave 😁 The hotel has a lot to offer to guests there is a complimentary use of jacuzzi and sauna at their spa which was very relaxing, VR game which my ...

We frequent Subic like 3-5x in a year and this is our first time to stay here because it was always fully booked. No wonder. This hotel is by far the best in Subic. Room is huge, large bed, clean sheets, new clean towels, AC working perfectly, staff at reception were prompt & helpful. Check-in/check-out was quick & easy. Best part though was the Bulalo soup we ordered...

Our stay was during the holy week break, and almost all the hotels in Subic Freeport were fully booked. Grand Hoyah was one of two or three which had available rooms. Grand Hoyah's rate was very reasonable for a 4-star hotel as advertised, despite the peak demand so we were a bit skeptical and worried as to what accommodation we will have. We were pleasantly surpri...

Check in was around 2pm but since we were already in Subic, they let us already check in and it was only 10am. The carpeted floor is a plus if you have toddlers running around since you won't worry much if they trip and fall. Fast service. Friendly staff. There are better hotels in the area but I keep coming back to Subic International Hotel because of its value for mo...

Overall a nice stay. The bungalows with rooms are ugly, but spacious. Highlight is the big pool, but that's all. Its NOT a beach resort. The hotel has NO access to the beach. The nearby neach was anyway dirty and not worth to go. There are frequent jeepneys even at late evening from the main highway near the hotel to Olangapo city and Subic freezone.

My 5th visit to Subic and my first time staying at Mangos. From this moment forward, Mangos will be my resort of choice. The restaurant has an extensive menu and the food was excellent. I suffer from insomnia and would sit on the deck and watch the ocean. The overnight staff was just as accomodating at 4 AM as the day staff at 4PM. My best memories will be sitting...

I am a regular visitor to Subic and Venezia was recommended to me. From the helpful security guard to the check in staff everything was perfect and as a bonus I was upgraded. Room service is from a 5 star Chinese restaurant next door so quality is excellent, there is a casino attached but I was never bothered by noise or patrons. I found I could walk to the new Ayala m...
Cheap places to stay in Subic (Zambales)

One of the least expensive ways in staying in Subic. The capsule beds are among the best I have tried and the place is located near the beach/Moonbay resort. The amenities are top-notch and the separate rooms for men and women ate pretty nice. However, there are too many rules, but for the price, this one is reasonable. It's a bit far from the main Subic shopping area...

this place is very nice, the rooms are pretty dated and need an upgrade but you have everything you need and the aircon worked well, cable tv good too, the austrailian owners are very nice and friendly people, if you go out the front door you can do all the things in subic i guess people go there for or if you go out the back door you find the really nice little cafe, ...

If you go on a budget, City Inn is the answer, very good location where you can buy anything you need - food, medicines, atm machines, it is located at the heart of the center of Subic Bay very near Victory Lines Station, no hazzle upon early check in they will accomodate...

Harleys has tidy clean rooms for a good price and the food is always high quality and delicious. Laid back bar area that allows you relax and gaze directly on the bay and the hotel has a nice private beach area to enjoy. Best place in Subic I have stayed to date.

Staffs are accommodating Location is quite good around 1 block from the beach Cleanliness the standard room is good enough for shower and short stay Pool is not that clean - though I went here after during the start of the rainy season of the Philippines. 2019 - there will be renovation as per the owner I recommend this place for short stay tour, the beach is as expec...

I stayed here with my 6-y.o. daughter for 3 nights and 4 days during our Subic Vacation. The hotel's location was perfect for our itinerary. I wanted to take my daughter to Ocean Adventure, JEST Camp and Funtastic. Since we will be out all day, I wanted a hotel that is affordable and accessible to public transportation. Cherry Midtown Hotel has exceeded my expectations...

It is difficult maneuvering down the narrow alley. If you have a van, you can barely squeeze through. We had two rooms, one for my husband and myself and one for our teenage son. They put us far apart from each other. My husband and I had a larger room on the 2nd floor of the main building while our son was on the 1st floor by the entrance. The doors do not have de...

Beach wasn't crowded even if we stayed on a Saturday during summer. Very peaceful ambience, amazing sunset view. Resort was simple but well maintained. Friendly and very accommodating staff. Bathroom was clean even if it was shared. Beddings were also neat, towels smell really nice. Though the facilities were very basic, I loved the fact that everything were clean. T...

My family had a great Christmas vacation in Subic, Olongapo staying at Olongapo Travel Lodge. From the outside, it may appear to be a very ordinary lodge especially going in the small entrance and walking up the narrow stairs finding the front desk. But being welcomed by the smile of the staff at the front desk with a fast and easy check-in procedure made the differenc...

The place was very convenient and accessible to establishments. It's affordable but it's comfortable. A good choice if you have conferences or meetings to attend near Subic Bay or Olonggapo. At night, you can just chill out with your friends outside the hotel. They have convenient parking spaces outside. The downside is just there are people drinking across, some are c...

Very nice place. Worth your money.. Clean and very friendly staff.. they attend to your needs... they have refrigerator in rooms so you can buy and store it there.. very near SM olongapo and market.. walking distance.. they even help book taxi if you go places.. They can help with transpo going to places like ocean adventure.. puregold duty free and inflatables.. you ...

The place was ok for the price, it was the cheapest in the area since we were a group of 8 and it is summer in the Philippines. It looked 80% abandoned and the beach is a long walk from the room. The CR was the most disgusting thing in the entire world !! Its one of those bowl things where you manually flush it with a bucket and the shower was just a pipe line .. ALSO...

The room was pretty small with a small TV screen and limited channel. This not a good choice for staycationers. Hot and Cold shower is available with towel but no toiletries were provided. They have a store in the lobby which was convenient but it's better if they have a separate room for it instead of putting the for-sale-stuff in the lobby.

located 2 min walk to the beach and the start point for island hopping..the owners david and gina were great hosts and very accomadating..staff were friendly and happy..great food with many different dishes for all travellers.room was so big and comfortable..highly recomend.

I'm used to staying at 4-5 star hotel so staying at this hotel is below my expectations, I actually just stayed for 1 night even if I paid for 3 days. This hotel is good if you only need a quick place to stay and if you are busy running around. If you just want to relax, away from the chaos, this is for you. I'm scared at the old rooms, carpet is really old and dirty, ...

Dabar was my 3rd accommodation in Subic but by far the best. Whilst abit hard to find as the sign out the front was covered by another sign, it was a very comfortable stay. The location is on the main strip and close to all the bars and to the beach. The internet worked very well and so did the AC. Very quiet and cool and the room and bed was very comfortable. Mango Valley 3 has spacious rooms, comfy beds (make sure you ask for a single queen bed). However, there seems to be the faint aroma of smoking inside some of the rooms, even if they're designated non-smoking. The first room I asked for smelled like it, plus i got twin beds (not the single queen bed I requested when I booked), so I asked for a transfer. The next room I...

We were there for some peace and quiet which we got. After a scenic trip from Manila, it was simply good to lie down and chill. We appreciated the service it accorded indeed. We will ...

We had a wonderful stay (in Aug 2014)! Our party of 2 adults (including 1 senior) and 2 children arrived late at night after a very long and tiring bus ride, and the staff immediately made us feel better. Check-in was fast, we were assisted to our room, and were given refreshing welcome drinks in our room. Our room was big, with 2 queen beds,a soft lounge bench, and a ...

Real reviews for hotels
nice and safe , with many things to do just taxi too expensive and not too many tourists makes it very fun and relaxing
Subic is a good place to go when you don't have time to go to Boracay or one of the other beach destinations in the Philippines.
I like living in subic, the air is less polluted, food is great, clean, thats why i bought a house in subic, i love it.
Relaxing ambience, no traffic, great for shopping because a few people go here especially Ayala Harborpoint, you can enjoy Ocean Adventure, Zoobic Safari and the beach life and activities.
This city is often visited by tourists because of the many attractions that you can find like Treetop Adventure, Zoobic Safari, Ocean Adventures among many others.
City have a lot of bar's and night club's and that in combination with beaches and pretty girl's are probbaly the main attraction ;-).
This is a nice get away and very different from other vacation spots in the Philippines. there are lots of options for all different interests and tastebuds
SUBIC IS A CITY FAR FROM NIGHTLIFE and is pre dominantly a locality where local bar girls choose to live as rooms are cheap at this locality.
Take SCTEX to get there faster from the city. Ensure you follow traffic rules as they strictly enforce it there.
My wife and I were quite disappointed with the "sights" of Subic. The "township" was no different to many other towns and definitely not as good as many.
Subic is a US-like environment. I love how the traffic flows and given each (one by one) car a chance to pass, as there is no traffic lights along freezone areas.
We went to Funtastic. The place is small but somehow offers something new like their mirror maze, 3D trick eye.
Subic is a well disciplined place especially on the road. Hope we can do this also in NCR. We're looking forward to more activities in Subic!
The Baloy beach on Olongapo side has to be cleaned up. It's dirty and smells like oil spill. The local government there should take this very seriously otherwise they will start losing tourists here.
It is fast to get to subic now, passing through nlex, sctex, and subic-tipo exit. Going to zoobic and ocean adventure is one thing that anyone should not miss.
Its a short travel from manila and affordable quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life.
Subic bay and Ologapo are the places to see and do things. There is a golf course, a Sea park, and canopy park.
If you are staying down in the Baretto area, take advantage of the ubiquitous trikes to get around. It`s only 50 pesos from Johans to the Arizona hotel and that`s much better than walking in the hot sun.
Get away from the hustle-and-bustle of Manila and enjoy some time in the Luzon countryside, near the sea.
The strip of beer-bars/adult bars just out of town are good for easy-going solo's and couples. They are safe and good fun.
Subic has a lot to offer for families like beaches, nature trips, shopping and other attractions like Ocean Adventure.
I was surprised that after not having been in Subic for 38 years that there was not more modernization that has taken place.
The old navy base has fallen into great disrepair and neglect. The buildings dont follow and common code and the old buildings have become an eyesore.
Just around 3 hours by hiways from Manila probably the best place to unwind and also to shop in their duty free shops.
If you are a single male, and want the beach as well as companionship, this place is hard to beat, even though I went there with my fiancee, I can appreciate this place for what I saw.
subic is an easy place to rreach from the airport, subic is clean, organize city, lots of beachfront hotels good on the budget.
Lot of bars and night life. People were OK to us. Not much ease to do at night but bars. If you want to drink and be with bar girls go there.
It was nice lots of beaches but the one close to Subic you have to travel further for clean and clear water.
SUBIC is an amazing place to visit, great people, great food, and a perfect location to end the day with sunsets by the sea
Zambales is a Boracay of Luzon. The nightlife is fabulous and sightseeing is definitely great. For people who are nature lovers, Zambales is a place to see.
