"Perfect in every way;) My original booking of 2 days was actually extended to almost an entire week because it began to feel like home. The architecture itself is impressive- lots of wood & stone, & plenty of showers/banos throughout the facility- at no time did I have to wait. Free coffee is available all day, which was a real plus for me. Here you can find private rooms or dorms- I opted for the dorm & the beds are very solid, so you don't get a lot of movement & noise anytime sometime comes or goes. The views are spectacular & there are plenty of places to grab a seat & sit in solitude or join others. I really liked the location because it's close to the center, but just enough distance from the main square to remain peaceful & quiet at night. Staff was great, etc. I will definitely return!"

"Hostal Vista Hermosa could be the best place that I have ever stayed at in Colombia (and I have traveled extensively in Colombia) when taking into consideration how much it cost per night. I had a private room for one person and the shared shower. The hostal is at the end of a road in a residential area and so it was quite quiet at night (with a really nice view of the mountains), yet it's only 3 short blocks from the plaza principal in Salento. Contrary to what it said on the hostal description page on the agoda site, they have wi fi and it's a good strong signal. There's plenty of hot water for the showers and even a half decent sized flat screen tv in the room. The funny thing was that when I told some locals where I was staying, none of them had heard of Hostal Vista hermosa. On one hand, I almost hope it stays that way because it was nice and quiet here (apart from a small group of people who came in at 2am one night and who didn't make any effort to be quiet), but on the other, I hope that they get more business :-). I would definitely stay here again! "

"Great location, in a quiet area with a beautiful view of Salento. The whole area of the object is very well maintained, outside the garden with deck chairs, on the roof a place to relax with a hammock. All with the idea that guests can rest in the best conditions. Room clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. For guests always available drinking water, breakfast very tasty. Employees very helpful in every matter and always smiling.
