Where to stay in Salento
Salento hotels & accommodations
Perfect in every way;) My original booking of 2 days was actually extended to almost an entire week because it began to feel like home. The architecture itself is impressive- lots of wood & stone, & plenty of showers/banos throughout the facility- at no time did I have to wait. Free coffee is available all day, which was a real plus for me. Here you can find private ro...
The staff at Eliana were great from start to finish and helped make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Communicating in a mixture of Spanish and English we stayed in one room which was really cozy and then some more nights in the apartment so that we could do some cooking for ourselves. Jesus the manager (perfect English) was extremely accomodating and made sure we we...
Great location, in a quiet area with a beautiful view of Salento. The whole area of the object is very well maintained, outside the garden with deck chairs, on the roof a place to relax with a hammock. All with the idea that guests can rest in the best conditions. Room clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. For guests always available drinking water, breakfast...
I highly recommend Casa Borbon. The staff are wonderful and the rooms are simple and clean, just what is needed for a town that has so much to enjoy. I will not hesitate to stay there again!
Good place , good bed, clean bathroom
across the street from the bus terminal at the entrance to salento this spacious garden filled campus is a retreat center with a great restaurant. rooms are a little rustic and cozy but the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home.
Hostal Vista Hermosa could be the best place that I have ever stayed at in Colombia (and I have traveled extensively in Colombia) when taking into consideration how much it cost per night. I had a private room for one person and the shared shower. The hostal is at the end of a road in a residential area and so it was quite quiet at night (with a really nice view of t...
- BEDBUGS - Rude owner - In the middle of nowhere, 45 min walk to Salento - expensive beer
My partner and I couldn't have asked for a better stay than at Hostal Familiar Jerico. We stayed in the private double room which came with its own private bathroom. The incredibly hospitable couple running the guesthouse were what really made the experience great. Marta Lucia made us coffee every morning and lemon tea when she took notice that we were getting sick. Al...
GREAT! As already explained we felt really welcome!
Juan the owner is a very nice, friendly person. He takes the time to welcome every guest, give us infos about Salento and does everything to make our stay a great one. The rooms are nice and clean. Juan parle également français!
very nice hostel and property with pool. some of the dorms are pretty small, so make sure you get into the 8bed dorm. they have hot water, a good breakfast choice and a great pool for relaxing after your hikes and tours. as well very welcoming staff, booked tours, have a lot of info and let me use all facilities even after check out.
The guy and his mom are so sweet, they’ll do anything to help. You get a mini, but delicious free breakfast. The rooms are really clean and they get cleaned every day. We planned on staying 2 nights, but we extended to 4. The view from the room is amazing. It’s about a 5 min walk to town, but that’s nothing. I would totally recommend staying here!
I booked 1 night in a tent and stayed 4! It's a quiet location and about 10 minutes walk to the center square plaza. The nature looks brilliant. The tent is only for solo traveler. It isn't warm inside, so it's not a problem to sleep in. Love this place. I'll come back!
Great staff especially brian
Best part was getting hot water - it can be chilly in Salento. Rooms are clean and spacious. No air-conditioning but you really don't need it. Location was OK as Salento is very small and everything is walking distance. They have a great tour operator near the lobby for booking hiking activities in the Cocoro Valley.
I am very satisfied with the hostel because they are kind and friendly the price was good especially the location is amazingly good i can go to the park within 2min i want to come here again if i am traveling alone
Liliana is an amazing host. You instantly feel at home when you arrive at the finca. The atmosphere is so relaxed and the nights are quiet and peaceful. The view from the garden alone is worth your money. Never ever did we have a better view when eating breakfast. Liliana will help you with anything, may it be recommendations for hikes or where to eat in Salento. You c...
They are the most amazing people you will ever meet. Anything you could possibly want they will do it with pleasure. Amazing value, a must stay.
The hotel grounds were really beautiful, the rooms at least our room could have been updated , we felt like we were in the grandmothers room, not in a good way. The site said they spoke English which was one of the items that lead me to choose the hotel. They did not, they tried as did we and made it work. Our bad. The site also said they had a restaurant which was...
Beautiful hostal. Nice family room for smaller and older children. Judith is a kind staff, she provides good visiting tips and prepares an excellent breakfast. A few steps away from the cathedral so easily reachable and more peaceful than immediately in the hyper center.
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in during my time in Colombia. We even extended our stay here. The hotel is located just at the edge of the town, in a quiet and beautiful location, but it was very close to the main square. The staff were very friendly and informative and always happy to help us. The hotel seems fairly new, so the rooms were very clean and ...
Wonderful hosts who made me feel extremely welcome. The food was very good and made every effort to help me with the logistics of my trips.
The first day we had no water. The second day the water worked, but it was only dripping, so there was barely any. And there was no hot water at all. The wifi didn't work in our room, even though it said it would. Sometimes it didn't even work by the lobby or on the terrace. Bugs everywhere, even in the room. The bed felt like it was going to fall apart. Nice view thou...
Great location quiet the owner are great They let us do laundry for free I loved the place
