Real reviews for hotels
I am aware that what I like is not to everyone's taste, but Parapat off season, was beautiful, serene, and has some of the most wonderful people I have met.
It's a dead town. Nothing much to do. But good for a peace of mind and away from the hustle bustle of city life.
Moslem tourists find Padang restaurants. Bring your own personal stuffs (shampoo etc). Visit Tomok village by ferry, don't take the speedboat since you will miss the soft wind and the scenery.
when reach parapat, make sure take the ferry and stay over 2 night at least at samosir island. the view of the lake toba is superb and amazing!
the people of parapat should be more friendly to the tourist rather than expecting them to spent more in this sleepy town with less intresting place to visit.
Small little town on the eastern edge of Lake toba. Dirty but hey its Indonesia. at the positive side, it provides easy access to the lake and samosir island (which is cleaner)
Parapat is just a transit city, if you are coming from Medan, and would like to visit the famous Lake Toba with its tiny island called Samosir, you would have to make a stopover here, as it is where the ferries would be departing from.
Parapat is a small town around Lake Toba. Nothing much to see here. Take a boat to the opposite Samosir island and explore the place and its tribe.
Parapat is a very interesting place, where Lake Toba is located. the view is amazing and it is a great place to relax.
Parapat is a good place for relaxation. Go crossing to Samosir island to get more calm and peaceful place.
Love the scenery, the historical buildings, the legends stories and friendly citizen. Hard to find muslim's food around but our local tourist guide managed to handle things for us.
Visit to the lake was very interesting. The ferry ride to the Samosir Island and the shopping makes you feel good as you bargain the prices.
Parapat is just a small town, but Toba Lake is really beautiful. It shows how big the eruption happened to form this wonderful lake.
it is a small town by the toba lake side, with a nice temperature and view but not much choices for foods/restaurants
The locals are friendly, nice to walk to the local market and check out the fruits. "magic mushroom" sold in restaurants only on samosir island
