Oslo hotels & accommodations

Superb hotel and so close to the train and bus station, which was great when we arrived via the high speed airport train. All the staff are so kind and helpful and nothing is any trouble at all. The breakfast offers great value for money, it is busy but this is a large hotel. The staff work tirelessly to make sure there are clear tables to sit at and the choice of foo...

Hotel is just across the street from the Oslo airport and is an easy walk of a few hundred meters. You can also catch the train from the airport to explore downtown/historic Oslo. Hotel room was nicely equipped and had everything a weary traveler needs. Bed was super soft, which was surprising, but it didn’t impact my ability to sleep. Employees were helpful and effic...

The hotel is closed to the Central Station and the Center of Oslo. The rooms are not so big but have all the basic needs. The only negative have to mentioned is the noise from the building next door, which actually is an extension of the hotel. The work starts at 9 in the morning and lasts till 17.00 hrs in the evening. Due to the renovation also a part of the Lobby an...

The staff and hotel very nice, polite and helpful. I informed them by email earlier that I had traveled from Bergen to Oslo and arrived in the early morning. I would very tried, if the hotel have the early checked in or fee of early checked in, we are OK. On that day my friend also sick. The staff said my room was available, we got the room and no fee of early check...

This hotel really did not meet my expectation, which was initially quite high. Rooms are quite small for the price we pay (which the week we booked were very high). There is no A/C (we were told multiple times by the Staff that it is normal for Oslo hotels!), Fan in the room did not work despite many requests to rectify. It was a hot week in Oslo, and these guys are no...

This was a all over good hotel for staying in while waiting for your flight to wherever you go, 5 minutes from Oslo airport. service was good, room was good, food was good, parking easy right outside the entrance if you drive there, so for me it was a good hotel but only for short time stay. i will be staying there again next time i need to.. thumbs up for the hotel:)...

We have s good time when did a short visit to Oslo. The friendly reception staff, Daniel, help me a lot by giving us i information what to see in Oslo. Hotel location close to ferry terminal, train station and shopping area. Will stay again i this hotel

we were in oslo in the days following the bombing. we contacted the hotel direct to ensure it was ok and undamaged. the staff were reassuring not just about the hotel, but also about the safety of oslo in general. the room was large, clean with comfortable beds. the hotel is very central and the windows keep out any street noise. the staff were able to provide excellen...

Stayed for 1 night as we were transiting through Oslo. Hotel is not linked to the airport. It is bout 500m walk through a covered walkway, to the left, once you exit the airport. There are clear directions, but do not mixed up with the other Radisson Hotel, which is on the right side of the airport. Rooms are adequately equipped, however as other hotels we stayed in N...

Value for money, studio room has a mini kitchen and cooker however it's too small to cook afte fitted in so many wardrobes and only with two plates and cups. The hotel room is clean and tidy with a balcony as well. If you pre order your breakfast one day before you will get a discount too I would say this place is cheap for Oslo. They should consider to make the hotel ...

Great value for money , lots of different rooms - many with kitchen--2min walking to a small mall with supermarkets and other shops..bars and restaurants -.buses and subway connecting the whole city only 2-5min walk from hotel. All rooms newly renovated and common areas cleaned daily.Own laundry room with clean and dry machines to fix your clothes within 2-3 hrs - self...

Love the place, with the swimming pool and the sauna being my favourites. Breakfast was good too. You'll preferably have a car if you're staying here though, may be a bit inconvenient to get around and about if otherwise. Probably the only downside was that the staff was a bit cold when we were checking in, and no offer of assistance with our luggages to the room whic...

We enjoyed our stay here, the hotel was clean and relaxed, it is set in a business part of town away from the centre, it was full of mostly business people, some who were holding samples shows in their rooms. It was very quiet. The room was lovely and spacious, beds comfortable, nicely decorated with free tea and coffee making provided in the room, I loved the reclinin...

The room was very large, as was the bathroom. Recently renovated with good design, good materials, and good workmanship. Big windows made it pleasantly light. I enjoyed being in an older neighborhood, especially since it was only a few minutes to walk to the fancy new neighborhood by the water. Even walking to the train station is easy; maybe 30 minutes, and the Vigela...

I was initially assigned to an attic room with slanting rooftop and a small window for double bed, while sharing one bathroom & toilet with 6 other rooms in an apartment with kitchen. It was horrible and have to request to change room and was reassigned to a nicer 2 rooms sharing apartment with only one bathroom and a kitchen. But there are more stairs to climb than th...

Stayed for 4 nights. Location is in a quiet area but bus us needed to go downtown (7 stops from central railway station). Buses no 30 & 31 stop at hotel entrance. The superior double bed room had a very tiny little shower with water splashing all around. When asked for a room with a bigger bathroom got a giant fabulous room but with even worse bathroom.

The centre of the city is in walking distance with restaurant and supermarket nearby. The size of the studio ,though not very large , is well decorated that make it looks spacious and comfortable. The only drawback is the small car park that we find it difficult to park our car if we came back late.

We spent 3 nights at the Thon Rosenkratz and all 9 members of my party loved it. Location is superb, easy access to all attractions and tons of cafes, restaurants, etc. Rooms are big, well appointed and extremely comfortable. Service is 5* and staff is incredibly helpful. Breakfast is 5*, the best by far in our 20 days trip in Scandinavia and free dinner snack was aw...

We stayed in 3 different hotels in Oslo: this, the Grand Hotel, and Radisson Blu Plaza. While Thon Hotel Opera is not the cheapest (Radisson Blu Plaza is 50 US dollars cheaper), but it's clearly the best. The Grand Hotel is way overrated; beaten by the other two not only in price (by a lot), but also in service. Thon Hotel Opera is truly right outside the airport expr...

the location is next to oslo station and it's very easy for travellers first time visiting norway. the transportation is very convenient with bus, subway, railway, airport express. the single room is very small but the equipments are nice and the street view is ok. the breakfast is also good and tasty.

The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are cozy and clean. Breakfast buffet is one of the best I've ever had due to the vast variety and high quality of food. The free coffee/hot drinks machine in the hotel lobby is also a very welcome touch. Overall, I'd definitely come back to the Thon Hotel Munch whenever I'm back in Oslo.

It's in the central and very close to the Oslo S central Train station. You can reach the airport with the local train NSB or faster train Fly to get from there. With Oslo Pass, you can visit lots of places and transportation is easy from Oslo S central station. Best part of the hotel is that breakfast and dinner meals are provided and they serve very delicious meals ...

I am very happy to stay at Comfort Hotel Xpress Central Station, It is my first time in Oslo and you are one of my happy moment. It is opposite of the train Central Station and just about 20++ minutes from the airport. So it is very easy to explore Oslo or connect with other amazing destination in Norway. The Room is very clean and Nice. The Staff can communicate in E...

I stayed in this hotel for two nights. The location is very good and near the central Oslo train station. Even though the exactly location is in a narrow street and a bit creepy, it is conveniently located. Breakfast was nice. The room was tidy and minimally equipped. Sound-proof was not sufficient, as I could hear some TV noise from the next door. I would say, u...

It was my first time to Oslo, and did not realize that an airport hotel in Oslo really means it is almost on the runway (as per the name). There was good sound insulation so you won't wake up from the noise and if you like spotting planes, take a room facing the runway and you will be happy. Strangely enough the free airport transfer is only free for 1 way, to the h...

The hotel is only 400 yards from the Central station and main street. The room was comfortable, considering the price with a very good bed and pillow. Shower is very basic but did the job. Free Wi-Fi in the hotel was a big bonus as it can be expensive in Oslo otherwise. Nearby was a mixed selection of restuarant and bars/pubs.

Great breakfast spread in the hotel. Clean room and toilet and comfortable beds. We rented a car and parked in the lots in front of the hotel but we ended up with a parking fine of 600nok as the lots are actually private. The carpark for the hotel is actually at the start of the road so do check with the hotel.

My stay was just ok mainly because I was disappointed when I checked in and found out that there was no bath tub even if I showed the staff that it was stated bath tub in my voucher. I stay in hotel about 220 days a year and for me it's a must to have bath tub after long working hours.

The location is really great, just about 10 minutes walk (with luggage) from Oslo central station. Shopping area and restaurants are just nearby. The staffs speak English very well and are helpful too. The room was too small for opening two 29" luggage at the same time. However, it was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. The best thing of this hotel is that it o...

One of the best hotel I have stayed in so far in Oslo. The rooms have been renovated recently with modern touch. Room is also quite spacious comparing with other Scandinavian hotel. Comparable to the radisson blu the plaza. Staffs were full of smiles always. Mins walk to the city hall, national theatre and airport express train. Highly recommended.

Bristol hotel is an almost historical hotel in Oslo. Its charm remains though we stayed in a later added part. Breakfast included in the room rate was very varied and good apart from the coffee. Just 5min walk to The Royal Palace Oslo and very close to Oslo shopping area. Excellent hotel restaurant. Best valet parking. There is convenience store name "Deli de Luca" which have a lot of food to take away and just 1min walk from the hotel. Real reviews for hotels
One of the prettiest cities I have ever visited with some of the nicest people in the world. The only negative is the food cost.
Oslo is a friendly city to the traveler and easy to explore. We can sip at the pier , We can taste a Norwegian Salmon, We can visit the historical Shopping Street or even The Royal House of Norway
This is a very expensive city and among one of the most expensive city in the world, high living standard, but worth to visit once in a life time, superb scenery across the whole city and country.
Oslo is a place good for visiting in non-winter season, since the Palace is only available for visiting in non-winter season.
Oslo is very friendly and most speak English. It is however, very expensive, but bargains can be found if you look around! McDonalds does a very good cup of coffee for £1! There is a very good boat trip to the Fiords, 2 hours for £27.
Oslo is a great city - it has everything you need in a big city but it is not at all crouded - only bad thing is that everything is quite expensive
oslo is a real bad city. felt like i was in middle east. not so many norwegians to see. would never return.
Great weekend destination, not far from nature and open spaces. Be good for conferences meetings, ease of access and efficiency of everything.
Karl Johan Street shopping Parliament of Norway, Cityhall tour National Theater Walk on the roof of the Opera Munch’s Museum Well worth a visit!
Very nice country. All the people there is friendly. And lots of attractions. The culture is also very beautiful.
take the train from airport and it drops you in the center. use the hop on and off coaches to explore the cities.
Quite dirty in metro station. Norwegians do not speak to foreigners actively. Quiet city. Old and historical buildings and atmosphere.
Oslo is my least favorite city among Stockholm & Copenhagen. Went there in late 10/2013, it's dark and kinda cold.
Oslo is expensive, but the city is very pretty with lots to see. Recommend to get the Oslo pass - museums and transportation included.
Suggest to start the Norway in a nutshell tour from Oslo . The transport system is very accessible and it is a safe city to travel even if you do not speak their language.
Oslo is the most expensive city I have ever travelled to. But if you're not on a tight budget I think it's well worth a visit.
Vigeland's Sculpture Park is a must to visit. The ski jump at Hollmenkollen, together with the museum associated with the skip jump are also very interesting.
Oslo is a generally expensive city so buying an Oslo pass could save substantial sums of money spent on sightseeing.
Easy to sightseeing. Because publik transportation is gery easy. By bus, by train or by metro , easy for eat ,because alot restaurant and fase food
People are generally friendly but may not that helpful, the season in winter is not a good day for sightseeing.
Oslo is a beautiful city on the Oslo fjord water. It is small and cosy and gives easy access even by foot.
the city is very beautiful, full of restaurant , coffee shops and good shopping places, i will surely stop by another 3 days when i will visit the scandinavian countries again in my futura trips, lot of souvenirs for friends and relative to buy.
Most of sightseeing spots are centralized located in the city center. It is recommended to visit all of them on foot.
For public transport, the day pass (75NOK) is the best - it gets you on Buses, Trams, Trains and Ferries.
Wonderful city with plenty to see and do. Accessibility via public transport is great. TIP, the Changing of the Guard takes place on a Friday at 1.
