Where to stay in Mae Salong (Chiang Rai)
Mae Salong (Chiang Rai) hotels & accommodations

The check in was smooth although nobody speaks English. The room was spacious and every room has an amazing view as shown in photos. Surrounded by tea farm, they always serves you a cup or glass of tea in every meal which is so thoughtful for me 😍 Not too much facilities, just a resto where all the meals are being served. They also have this tea section where one of t...

My boyfriend and I took my parents for a trip across Chiang Rai, and stayed one night in Mae Salong, and even though the resort is about a 7km drive from the main town area (where most restaurants and markets are), we were incredibly happy with our stay here. Everyone including owners were sweet and friendly. The views from our room and al-fresco breakfast area were b...

All is great, the only concern would be some noise from other rooms or from the road. This is probably the best hotel in Mae Salong, the rooms are spacious and the view is perfect (just don't look straight down, you'll still see some potential for improvement). Having said all that, I've really enjoyed my stay. Don't forget to try the hotpot (can be vegetarian) and the...

Hotel is situated on the edge of Mae Salong about a ten minute walk from the centre and street market so it's very quiet at night. The building is concrete built and the corridors can be quite echoing as people walk or talk in them but was no real problem. If you're visiting here it can be quite chilly at night because of the altitude and there's no heating in the ro...

It is the best location to stay in Mae Salong with the rooftop to spend time watching sunrise. There is morning market right behind the place and motorcycle for rent which is 5 minute-walk from the place. Plus, the staffs are so nice! It is the place I would love to come back and stay at least once again in Chiang Rai.

What is great about this property is the bungalows situated on a sloping tea crop and the wonderful view of the Mae Salong area. It is off the street and very quiet. The bungalows have much character, another term for pretty old but well maintained. The beds are a bit hard as they sit on the floor. It is all a bit rustic but that is what you are signing up for. The ...

A good hotel with nice local breakfast for guests, and the owner is super friendly and helpful. Room is clean. I booked a room with Fan but not even using the fan during the stay. It's quite cold at night. Hotel location is also good, it's not very crowd and not far from the tea market and restaurant area. Highly recommended !

We had stayed in Chiangmai city for a few days and took a motorbike trip covering Chiang Rai, Mae Salong, Phu Chi Fah, Nan and Phayao for the next 5 days. I love Maesalong Mountain Home! Situation about 4km from the little town (there were other guesthouses too), I found this resort tucked in a corner of the mountain charming, quaint and quiet. Amazing mountain views...

I am all positive about this place... The owner took us sightseeing in the Golden Triangle just because they are friendly... We attend the owners mothers birthdaycelebraton... Realy got a feeling of real Thai friendship. Negative was that they all speak very bad english.

We stay 3 nights very quiet and peaceful. One night a large group of European family travelers were talking loudly at the sitting balcony area, which was directly across from our room with an big opening between our room. You could hear them very well. They came in late and talk late into after 11 pm. People needed to be more considerate of other. My husband gon...

Mae Salong is a good place to buy tea. We love to walk around the peaceful village. Night time is so quite but be careful of the incoming car and motor, they ride and drive like no body road.
the food here is really great and unique, being so close to China, the chinese influence on the food culture is undeniable.
A very culturally diverse city. The Chinese influence here is astounding and visiting their museum will explain everything.
Mae Salong is more of a small town. There is a good little day market and a wat in town to see. A good bakery which does paninis.
