Traveling to Switzerland? Find Luzern hotels

The hotel was located close to the train station and the city center of luzern. I had an upgraded room with view of the mountains and loved it. The staff was very helpful and nice, the room was clean and spacious. The mini bar was free of charge. They served cold and hot breakfast too. They gave us free one day tranportion pass, free bike renting and also gym for us to use.

I was a bit worried the first time coming to Luzern as a solo traveller. Arrived at Luzern Hbf late in the evening, fortunately the hostel’s location is just a few minutes away from the station. The room was quite decent, with bathroom and kitchen on each. It is probably the best hoste in town with great value for money, especially if your traveling on limited budget around Switzerland.

The hotel is located in Luzern old town which is really good. Lots of shops, restaurants, cafes and easy to travel to. The staffs were nice,helpful and easy to communicate with. The room I get was great, clean and nice. Kinda modern interior. The windowns sealed all the noise from outside. The atmosphere around the area was really nice. In the evening, there will be some musicians playing some music or singing. The reception reply the messages quite fast. Although I had a problem opening the front door, it’s a bit heavy, overall it was a great stay.

The hotel is 4 stars hotel with full facility and services. This hotel is in a very good location, just opposite the Luzern train station. Therefore, it is so convenient and safe time in travelling throughout Switzerland. The rooms were ok but the staff were very friendly and helpful. They will try their best to assist us on whatever we asked for. The surrounding restaurants and fastfood restaurants were plenty. The hotel also has Starbucks coffee on the ground floor.

Though, it was raining for all 3 days that we stayed at the hotel.. but we did have a good restful timing at the hotel. The lake view at the front of the balcony is so quiet and peaceful. Plus, stay in the hotel is very relax.. as there are sauna + steam bath + sonarlium and thermo-lava cabin.. which you could enjoy the whole day there.. with free coffee and tea. The hotel is about 10 minutes by bus from Luzern station, but very convenient as the bus pass by the hotel every 15 minutes.

I stayed in a double room with city view on the 4th floor and it was fantastic :) I could see the courtyard below. My room was beautifully furnished and my bathroom was very chic. This boutique hotel is on the lake and you can walk straight out into the old town or the river side and walk along the bank and on the bridges. This hotel is located very near all the exciting river side cafés and restaurants, but is very quiet. If you're hesitating between this hotel and any other hotel in Luzern, pick this one. I was very very pleased I did.

In Overall, i really satisfy with this hotel. All Receptionist staffs very competent, friendly and very helpful. Although we check in at almost in the middle of night, the staffs still help us with friendly smile. The Location is very close to main station,Pub,restaurant (fast food), qualified mini market and Shopping Centre! The ultimate reason , why i called this location was very perfect for us, because you just need 2 minutes walk to see the beautiful Luzern Tower . And the another perfect location : It was very close to Tourist information office, so you can start your tour day at luzern in perfect time. The meeting point for your daily tour in luzern was also very near with the hotel. That's why our holiday schedule in Luzern become very awesome.

I needed a hotel in Luzern with non-smoking rooms and close proximity to the train station.. It is only a few minutes' walk from the train station; even with two big suitcases and a baby stroller it was no problem. The rooms were great, fairly spacious for Europe, and they had our non-smoking rooms available as requested. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast buffet selections. Also very close to a lot of the "touristy" stuff.

It is just SOOOO good. At first we did not know the location (you have to park and take a cable car to get to the hotel with all of your lugguage), so I did not expect much. But the moment you open your window. It is just WOW, WOOOOW. The view..is breathtaking. The food were also quite satisfactory, and the pool and the sauna were great as well. The best part is when you walk around the hotel. There are many great hidden spots. If you just walk in the morning around the hotel, you will find a little church, and if you keep going, you can see a breathtaking view without going up to the Rigi. (I do recommend for you to go Rigi of course). It is quiet, surrounded by nature and the color of blue with peaceful sound of the kettlebells of cows.I just wished I could have stayed at least two nights more. It is such a shame we only stayed here for one night, because we did not know it would be this great. I will definitely stay here again

Luzern itself is a beautifully picturesque destination by the lake surrounded by majestic mountain ranges that form an unforgettable backdrop to this historic city, so you’ll want to spend as much time as you can wandering about. Easily accessible from the city’s main train terminus Ibis Styles is the ideal place from which to do this. Rooms are well appointed and modern. Staff are friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast, while not elaborate, does offer a decent enough food. With Switzerland being so expensive, it’s best to load up on food here before heading out for the day and then try to make it a light lunch. Better yet, try loading up on supplies at the supermarket located about 10 minutes walk back towards the train station. Unless you’re on a champagne budget, this is a must.

we had a nice stay at The Hotel. It is very close to the station and the old Luzern, you can go everywhere by foot. The view from the 5th floor is nice. The rooms are small and our "suite" was just a simple room for two!!! The bathroom (shower only) was not too big either and the hotel is not too generous with soaps, shampoos etc. Breakfast is expensive but very good. Staff is really nice.

we've been to luzern many times, staying in different hotels each time. this is the best hotel by far. the experience right from check-in to check-out is magnificent! the staff are really courteous, friendly, helpful and attentive! the hotel is situated in front of the lake, within walking distance to every attraction or shops in luzern. the hotel and rooms are huge by european and especially swiss standards. the food is good. we had breakfast and dinner here, and the service is superb! of course, you pay for such an experience. parking, breakfast, wifi, etc. are all extra but worth every penny. we got swiss chocolates on checkout and they even left a goodbye note with sweets on the car dashboard when we left.

I arrived from Geneva late at 11pm so all i need was to quickly get to the hotel. Hotel Astoria is about 7mins walk from the train station! Continental breakfast was not the best but very sufficient. The hotel is only 5mins walk from the famous Chapel Bridge, 7mins walk to the markets, 10mins walk to the shopping area near Chapel Bridge, and also very convenient for us to grab a bus to Luzerne (10mins). Surrounding looks really safe and quiet too, and staffs were friendly. Our rooms was furbished pretty nicely, and most amenities can be requested via front desk. If you are a traveller who is dropping by Luzerne for a short stay, this hotel's proximity to the attractions is most suitable.

What I liked about the hotel is that it is located in a very prime location in downtown Lucerne and having a serene view of the Lake. An indoor swimming pool is a surprise feature of this hotel and the room we book is very spacious considering we our young child with us. I liked the idea of having the room service menu on an in-room tablet and can be ordered online. Parking spaces are available across the hotel for a daily rate. The price is a bit off but considering everything it offers it is kind of justifiable. I didn't find much variety in their breakfast offering which made me look elsewhere and I didn't regret it as you have plenty of options nearby.

The location was really nice as it was close to the Luzern train station. Just a straight road down from the train station and you can find the place. We were given a room right across the lift so I thought it was a little noisy at times, but it was okay. Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and giving suggestions on where to go. The room interior was very nice. I thought the room was a little cramped, but then again, we had requested for a large bed and the bed was huge and comfy. Overall, a pleasant experience at the Renaissance.

Our family rented a car in Basel at then end of a Viking Rivercruise (that was amazing) and after touring Switzerland and Northern Italy, returned our car in Lucerne. The hotel staff helped us work out the best way to return our car and to use the complimentary public transportation. We followed the walk that the front desk recommended to explore the city and enjoyed the hotel restaurant for breakfast and dinner. When we left, it was an easy walk across the bridge to the train station.

This is a nice hotel to stay if you prefer a quite scenic place. It is above mountain and Luzarne lake is clearly visible from room with wide range of Mt. Alps. Location is 15 mins. drive from Luzerne train station. Hotel has their own transport which runs between hotel and station every half an hour. Only minus point is that the transport ends from station around 5:45 PM even during Summer. My 12 years daughter enjoyed a lot. Hotel staff were quite friendly, they even allowed my daughter to share the same bed without extra charges. Breakfast is bit boring.
