Lugano hotels & accommodations

The hotel and the room is very good. The location is just next to the Mont. St. Salvarto and the train station of Lugano Paradiso, 3 mins walk to the Lugano lake and 15 mins to the old town. The staff there were very friendly and they can speak several languages. My room has a balcony facing the mountain, quite and very comfortable.

This my 3rd time staying here.I ve always wanted to try all the hotels in lugano but just couldnt resist comin back here. Staff are so friendly n cheerful ,generous as they offer free minibar, chocolates here n there. Breakfast wth freshly squeeze orange or carrot juice n so much choices frm starter to dessert. We stayed one night. It is a very pleasant hotel in the middle of Lugano. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was strange in that one woman seemed to do most things from showing us to our room to helping with breakfast. But it wasn't a problem. Also, the front desk was not 24 hours, but this didn't cause a problem as they were available when needed. The breakfa...

The staff was great, hotel is nice but it is in need of a renovation. Specially the room that has a decor and furniture like it got stuck in the 90's. Breakfast was great and we had a pleasant stay. Lugano is expensive so the hotel is fairly priced. I would recommend this hotel unless you only stay at modern hotels with minimalist designs.

Hotel was clean and new, value for money. There is a gym and a small pool for a quick work out. One problem was the slope leading up the the old Lugano paradiso train station. It was steep and the train station does not have any elevator or escalator. Breakfast is included in price and is 16 chf per pax. There was a decent spread of food. If visitors are not keen o...

the place is nice, the food in the restaurant is great, but it's hard to get a spot. the rooms are simple, but very comfortable bed and nice view; the rooms are clean and you can come and go whenever you want. however, if you don't have a car, you depend on the bus once an hour and not at all between 9.25am-12.25pm, unless you walk a km to the next village to catch ano...

The hotel is very good and centrally located. it has is own parking space so good for travellers arriving by car! It is close to the bus station and shopping aera! Walking distance to the piazza and lake! Rooms are quite ok, comfortable and clean! At least for one night or two it is ok! Practical! Bathroom clean but not for everyone... plastic box! however clean! Break...

The triple room was clean and tidy. The hotel staff was helpful and gave us a travel card for free local transportation. The hotel is on a slope. But if you follow the reminder email from hotel to leave from platform 4 of Lugano station, then just a short slope (~100m) will bring you to the hotel. There is no lift in the hotel. We were travelling with heavy luggage a...

Pro: the owner is adorable - she’s so kind and accommodating. You definitely feel at home immediately. The hosts at Casa Nico were very quick to respond to requests and to confirm details in English. We had a lovely room with a view to the East, with a lovely sunset and sunrise. The location is close to the railway station, about 15 minutes walking distance. When I first arrived, the room was not ready, the front desk lady asked me to come back after 3pm. Overall very enjoyable with fast internet easy access to supermarket and casino. Great Lake view. Easy access to public transport. Big room. Ambrella provided. Shuttle to train station. It is very difficult writing 50 characters on one hotel. This is the main reason I don't like writing reviews.

This hotel is not just off the main highway as one might think looking at the website map, it is 6 mm up a winding mountain road, ending in a cute old village with narrow streets. We have booked this hotel to participate at a birthday party in Morcote. The room was great with lake view. It was clean and the people very friendly. The breakfast was served at the table again with lake-view and the breadbasket served by the kitchen. I can only recommend this place.

Beautiful location! Overlooking the lake of Lugano, the City and the mountains ( the San Salvatore just in front of you). Easy to find, less than 20minutes from Lugano City Center with buses running every 30minutes. There’s a hiking path ride behind the hotel that will bring you all the way to Monte Brè, again, with an amazing viewpoint (bay of Lugano and the Alps). T...

If you looking for budget stay at Lugano you may considering this Ibis Budget Lugano which you might mistaken with the next door Ibis Lugano ( without the Budget word ). Both actually in different building sharing same lobby. That's why if you looking just for a budget and simple overnight just go for Ibis Budget Lugano.

Beautiful view of the lake from balcony. Dinner at the restaurant downstairs was good. Family room is big & spacious. Kitchen facilities were good. Bathroom is big & spacious. Only con is that the owners speak very little English but we still managed. Parking was at a public car park about 200 meters away. Need to unload luggage infront of hotel before going to the car...

Real reviews for hotels
We stayed at Lugano for 1 night before heading to Italy. The train networks in Europe is really good so we should have go straight from Lucerne to Milan instead of stopping over at Lugano.
Nice historic town with beautiful parks and wonderful Italian food. Nice little excursions out of town, includng short hops across to Northern Italy via the ferrys for "cheaper shopping and food".
Lugano is at the lake of Lugano. Very nice is the promenade at the lake. If you like you can take a boat on the lake.
clam and nice places with a very nice lake view and you can cycling along the lake and enjoy gambling at the casino.
The Lugano lake is very nice and you can also enjoy a relax city walk at down town, which is 5 min distance by bus!
