"It’s an old but nice hotel in the historic center of Locarno. The staff spoke english and german, no problem with that. We got a bigger room than we booked (apartment) and all was fine, only thing that bothered us a bit was the design metal object installation on the neighboring Palacinema building - it looks nice but makes a horrible noise when it gets windy (and it was veery windy during the night of our stay), but that is not the hotel’s fault. The breakfast was a typical european hotel breakfast, so we knew what to expect. An espresso for the breakfast would be nice instead of a filter coffee, but the neighboring table asked for some and got them, so I guess it’s on request. We also ate in the hotel’s restaurant and were positively surprised, the food was good (we had pizzas and pastas), no complaints. And the price was also fine compared to the rest of Switzerland. It’s not a fancy hotel, but if you came to enjoy Ticino instead of spending time inside hotel, very recommended!"
