"Including an old church in its premises, this guesthouse is part of a rambling complex of restaurants, nightclub and betting shop. The restaurant where breakfast is served looks like something out of Lord of the Rings. Note of caution to Italians and others who take their coffee seriously - the brown water they serve at breakfast at the Kilford Arms is so bad I had to ask two waiters whether it was tea or coffee. Neither was really sure so they made me a fresh pot (of instant) which I pretended was better. Stick to tea, it's the Irish way."

"The hotel itself is a nice one... breakfast very good, staff the same but it is a 25 minute walk into the town and if you are getting a taxi it is €10 each way.. Kilkenny itself was amazing - the people are so generous - spoiled for choice in eating out but would stay in the centre when visiting again."

"Pros: Kilkenny is a charming town northeast of Dublin. The main attractions is the multitude of churches, Kilkenny castle and cute town centre. My stay at the Langton's was great; the hosts were friendly and hospitable. My room was spacious and clean and on the main floor which was a relief as I was carrying lots of luggage! They quite a few options for breakfast so you won't be dissapointed! Cons: The only con which could also be considered a pro for some people was that it wasn't as central as I would have liked the B&B to be, it was a good 20 mins walk to the main area. However it didn't really effect my trip that badly and if you're driving this may be a good thing as the Langton's B&B it's easily accessible by highways. I had a wonderful stay at the Langton's and would recommend this to anyone interested in checking out Kilkenny. "
