Everything about this hotel is excellent. Although it is close to the train station, but the hotel was considerate enough to arrange portal service to save us the hassle of carrying luggages in the cold. This is second time for me to stay in this hostel. I confirm that this hostel price is worthy. I just know that every guests also get a free ticket bus include during their stay. So you can travel everywhere in Grindelwald by bus. I ate dinner in this hotel. The dinner cost is not expensive and the staff have good service mind. However internet is also still problem.

Would highly recommend staying here, its a beautifully run venue, the passion of the owners for hospitatilty and Grindelwald is visible everywhere you turn, all the staff have lovely smiling faces. For breakfast, as in all Switzerland hotels, spread is not much but enough to keep u going for the morning. Oh and you have the best view of mount eiger.

The hotel is perfectly located near the train station, which was a very great benefit as my wife & I were travelling with my parents and parents in law who are in their 70s, so short walking distance to the hotel from the train station is a plus point for us. The hotel has a rustic & traditional switzerland ambience with wood interior and cozy lounge and terrace. The...

The only possible thing I could offer as an improvement is to update the room decor. Other than this, the hotel is charming, the staff accommodating, the food is delicious and the spa area is top notch for a hotel - 3 steam rooms, an outdoor sauna and large solarium with breathtaking views. Only a 10 minute walk to the Grindelwald train station. Love this hotel!

The great thing about this hotel is the scene around Grindelwald. Service is good, room is clean and well decorated. Great for honeymoon! The downside of this hotel is that it is not within walking distance from the train station. It is far uphill. The good thing is, the hotel offers free limousine back and forth the hotel from the station but we're not told befor...

The apartment is far away from train station, need more than 15 minutes walk. And they charged €258 for the final cleaning fee which is not stated in the Agoda pages. Very disappointed! We had a splendid stay at Chalet Grunegg. Being from Singapore, we were total strangers to Switzerland and Chalet Grunegg provided good access to nearby public transportation for us to use as a good point of access to travel to the Swiss Alps and also to the rest of Switzerland. The chalet itself has a really homely feeling to it and unexpectedly, the wifi connection...

Need to walk a short distant from the train station, but it's ok. The apartment is located in the ground floor with a good view of the mountains. Just a pity that the instruction to get the key was wrong, we spent some time to find the key. Other things are all ok, would recommend to friends.

Small but very nice town with fantastic view to Eiger Mountain Must do hiking and try Trottibike ride from Bort to Grindelwald
Grindelwald seems the best place to be if you want to explore the Swiss Alps/Jungfrau region for a few days in summer.
It is the starting point for many varied sporting activities: skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, sledging, winter hiking with snow shoes, and in summer plenty of wonderful walks, mountain biking, etc.
the best cheese fondue just located next to the train station. And there have a lake called Bachalpsee, from city centre take cable car to First and then you can start hiking like 1.
Beautiful snow mountain view! Recommend to go "First" to experience a snow mountain hiking, very memorable!
It is a nice city, but you should not come at night time because the last bus is 18:00 pm., otherwise you have to walk.
Grindelwald is a small town with a beautiful close-up view of the Jungfraujoch snow-capped mountain. In comparison with other nearby towns such as Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald wins hands down as it has the best scenery among all.
Go during the winter period to enjoy this city better with a lot more activities. Else, it's pretty much limited without the snow fun.
