"Pros: Good breakfast with a great view while dining. The room was decent and the bed was perfect. Cons: Upon check-in, when I tried to get my printed booking, the staff said no need because she prefers directly interacting with guests which I thought was nice. But when we asked her some questions regarding the bus, etc., she usually says read those flyers. One time we insisted that the info was not on the flyer, then she took a look at the flyer herself and realized that the info was not really there. So she took out a different flyer for the info."

"We were really tired driving so we just booked this place very last minute. first, take note that parking is not free, second They didn’t give us keys which we felt uncomfortable to leave our belongings in the room with all other travelers in the place so I had to put it back in the car when we head out. please also note that this place don’t even have towels for guests, the reception just simply said “we’re not a hotel” , for the price we paid we are really disappointed. The reception man was friendly & the area was maintained but the lodge it self is just not our cup of tea."

"The hotel is perfectly located near the train station, which was a very great benefit as my wife & I were travelling with my parents and parents in law who are in their 70s, so short walking distance to the hotel from the train station is a plus point for us. The hotel has a rustic & traditional switzerland ambience with wood interior and cozy lounge and terrace. There are many shops and restaurants nearby the hotel. The unforgettable was the "million dollar view" of the Switzerland mountains from the hotel. We definately will stay in this hotel if we came back to Grindelwald again."
