Where to stay in Bohol
Bohol hotels & accommodations

This review is hard to start because I loved everything about this place. I took my wife and young son to this hotel as it was our honeymoon and we wanted to see her family from Bohol. From the time I made my reservations on Agoda, the staff from the hotel contacted me via email to confirm if I needed anything and to confirm transportation. I booked the beach view suit...

This is the greater part of the former Bohol Beach Club Hotel, beautifully transformed into a fabulous beach resort with upgraded bungalows, pools and hugely improved food. The BBC 'acquired' one of the best beachfronts in the Philippines many years ago as the family were best buddies with the horrendous Marcos. They ran the BBC as a 3 star hotel which was okay but al...

This is my first trip to Bohol and I went with college friends, one of whom was getting married soon. There were 6 of us who are all part of the “Bride Squad”. They have airport transfers; they’re only 10 minutes away from the new Panglao airport. The place was away from beach front but they had a shuttle service. They can also make arrangements for day tours and bea...

Our stay or visit to AVBR was really nice. We were there with our children both 15 teen. We are all scuba divers and that was the attraction. The diving was good as well as the dive shop staff. During our last day a typoon came in and we spent a extra day in Bohol till we could get a boat back to Cebu.. But it was still a trip to remember. We would do this trip again. ...

Eskaya Beach resort is the best resort on Bohol. It's nice and private, but still close to Alona beach. The Villas are very nice, especially 4, 5 and 6 with ocean view. The pool is very nice, and there is a nice private beach. The food in the restaurant is good, especially the crab. It is expensive though. The staff is extremely friendly. The spa is top notch a...

The Good: 1. Location - As our final night's stay in Bohol, we've decided to book a room with Ocean Suites Boutique Hotel Bohol as it is more convenient to get to the airport from there than other hotels located in nearby Panglao Island. Ocean Suites is located just next to the Blood Compact Monument, and is overlooking Bohol Sea. 2. Room - We booked a spacious Premier...

On our first trip to Philippines, we stayed at Manila, Bohol and Cebu. At Manila and Cebu, we stayed at 5 star hotels but for Bohol, we stayed at Peacock. It was our best experience out of 3 places with a great property, infinity pool, serene surroundings, quiet and peaceful environment. The pool is great for everyone overlooking ocean. The staff is excellent and very ...

I stayed at this hotel with my best friend for a couple of days after being away from the Philippines for 7 years, the staff was just delightful and very accommodating. The food at the resort was delicious, had a great variety and the presentation of the food was pleasing. Just want to give a shout out to resort staff members Eunard, Marky and Sharm for the smiles, la...

My friend and I (each had our own rooms) loved this hotel in Bohol. The rooms are good sized and in great condition. The included breakfasts were the best we had in the Philippines. The only thing that could be slightly better is a bit closer to the beach area. However, this is a minor criticism as the walk the beach area is easily done in 5 minutes or so. This ho...

I didn't expect much about this resort because it is not a luxury hotel. But when I arrived, this resort looked fine thinking about its location and grade(3star). It is just in front of alona beach and located in the middle this area. You can go every where by walk in alona area. Room is clean, hot shower is always available though water is a little bit salty li...

I wasn't really planning on booking Amarela resort but because of the positive reviews, I just have to let our family experience what other guests are saying about this resort. They have a complimentary airport transfer which not many resorts or hotels in Bohol would offer. The staff was VERY courteous and attentive. I made arrangements for our anniversary in advanc...

It was our first time to travel to Bohol. I wanted to book 2 nights at Bohol Beach Club but the resort was full due to renovation. Dumaluan Beach Resort is just beside Bohol Beach Club and they share the same beautiful beach. My friend who recommended Dumaluan Beach rather than Alona Beach (where the nightlife is), was a genius. I got the Junior Preside...

Arrived in tagbilaran by ferry and before even getting off we look out into the city and saw a building that was higher than the others. Had a hunch that it was the Belian hotel but wasn't sure. We were thinking that if it was that, then we had scored because it was very close to the port. As we exited the port, it became clear that it was the hotel! So that was good. ...

Pyramid is approximately 80m away from the drop off area of Alona Beach, no direct access from main road but it is manageable. The room we got was a superior pool view room, loft type room with balcony so it is really chill. The rooms here can easily get fully booked because of their great staff and service, super clean property, great food at their restaurant and str...

Before booking, my friend and I were rather nervous when seeing the negative reviews. I honestly have no idea what they are talking about. This hotel was an amazing choice for our vacation in Bohol and the staff made the difference between it being great to perfect. Perks: The resort itself is beautiful. It is located about 15 minutes from Tagbilaran City, and has i...

We had a 2 night stay at this place. The first night was booked through Agoda and the other was booked via phone call. When we arrived at the hotel, all the staffs claimed that they did not received my call when I requested for additional one night stay. I didnt get the femal staff who talked to me via phone. They told me that if the other guest wouldn’t continue to ch...

Their restaurant on the second floor serves some great Thai and Chinese cuisine. Breakfast is decent. Filipino sets are the best to order. Gym and pool are ideally located on the roof. Immigration office is across the street for anyone needing to extend their visa. It took less than an hour to get an extra 29 days. That saved us a trip to Dumaguete or Cebu. Staff is ...

We stayed for 4 nights in the Sherwood Bay Aqua Resort and Dive School. Booking is including transport from the airport, but from the boat terminal can also be arranged (if you come with the boat from Cebu for example). We were welcomed by the owner of the hotel (former British) and it felt like a cozy family hotel. Rooms don't have numbers, but names of flowers. We st...

Pros. The owner are on hands with our needs and very accomodating and helpful. It was our 2nd.time to stayed in Conradas Place and its really amazing how the staff and owner is really lovely couple. Gave as every lil thing they cud possibly offer. Love the place quite away from the busy and noisy street, bed was great, everything in room works perfectly..and u feel saf...

We stayed for 1 week. It was everything we wanted. I was quiet, not many rooms so not many people, romantic and calm. We enjoyed the excellent service and very good food with daily specials that were the best. The snorkeling and scuba diving was excellent but best to have them take you by boat to nearby island but it is possible to dive near the hotel. Kyaking was g...

We had a very nice stay at this resort and would return anytime! We liked everything from the airport welcome to the departure so we highly recommend it. We stayed for 6 nights and had free private transport from the airport offered by the hotel but the regular price for the transport is also fair. The hotel is about half an hour ride from the airport. The resor...

Stayed in the newly opened resort for 4 nights. The kids loves the big pool. Check in and check out went very smoothly. Nice reception and bar with outdoor seating. The staff was very polite and helpful. Helped us to book a Bohol trip with a van to see Chocolate Hills, Tarsier, River cruise and zipline, Room was cleaned everyday without any complains. Only 5 min ride ...

We glad that we choose panglao as our hotel in bohol it just more than what we expected before. We booked 3 rooms in main building and the price is worth it with nice swimming pool as one of the facility, and the price range for food is still afordable. We definitely love our experience with panglao

This resort is run by the Philippine tourism Authority. It is the only resort on this small island of 3000 persons. For location the price was very fair. The circumference of the island is approximately 1 mile round. The resort is clean, rooms are clean, staff friendly restaurant is satisfactory. Not nearly as rustic as other reviews led me to believe. For snorkeli...

We stayed here for our first two nights in Panglao, Bohol. The hotel is in one of the most beautiful locations. Situated on the top of a hill the rooms offer panorama views of Bohol and Panglao. We wanted to avoid the busy area around Alona Beech and this is exactly what the hotel offered. The hotel is on the top of a hill, but very easily accessible from the port via ...

I guided junior camp to Bohol 2 days 1 night, we stayed in Blue Ocean Bohol. Including me, the total is 17 pax. At first, even the travel agency didn't know how to park their vans. We felt crazy that how come the resort doesn't have the road to arrive it. But it's true! Because Blue Ocean Bohol resort is in front of the beach in Alona. We walked the shortcut. When we ...
Cheap places to stay in Bohol

I do think that Bohol Coco farm is the best place that I've stayed at throughout my travels in the Philippines. It's small and cosy and everyone knows everyone. Staff members are really friendly and I have no doubt to go back to Bohol Coco farm if I ever go back to Bohol again.

The hosts are really warm and accommodating. They will make you feel at home. Andy and Ate Vicky were really nice in helping me to book my tours. Hassle free for me! The place is really nice and restrooms are clean. The location is also perfect and peaceful. It will only take 5-10 mins to reach the centre of panglao island. I also met a lot of good fellow backpackers ...

We need to stay near airport the next and this place is available in a very affordable price. They are very quick in responding to all my queries. They even assisted us in getting a tricycle going to airport which is only 5-10 mins from this place. This place is good for travellers who are in tight budget. Pros affordable very acommodating staffs With wifi cozy lobby ...

Had a great stay here! If you are looking for a budget travel hotel for solo, in couples or in small groups, this is good for you. Room is equipped with kitchen stuffs, fridge, and an nice air conditions! Good bed linens and cable tv. Has wifi area, although slow, its working and good location for phone signal. No other facilities but that’s not the thing why you are i...

I boooked this hostel for 2 nights but ended up staying 4 because there is quite a lot to do and see in Bohol. The hostel was really nicely designed with loads of seating areas and hammocks. The dorm room was basic but well airconditioned and a comfy bed. The guys who work there are all really nice and are often cleaning or doing the garden.

We've been travelling quite a lot throughout the Philippines and for sure, being at Natura Vista turned out one of our best experiences. And unlike anything else. You've gotta love this place; the cottages are mostly made from local wood and each has it's unique design. It feels like being at the Lord of the Rings Shire. They also have a wonderful enchanted garden, doz...

Stayed here for 2 nights. The staff was friendly and the room was nice and clean with hot shower. The location is great - only 5-10 minutes walk to the mall. Our only complaint is the wifi which wasn't always working well. Would definetely recommend this to others who need a cheap but nice place to stay while experiencing Bohol.

The customer service was beyond my expectation especially the owners , I really appreaciate Mr & Mrs Yap (sister of the Owner ) for their kindness. They are still revamping the facilities to give every tourist a place to stay and be more comfortable. I think they also offer free airport/pier - hotel tranfer if you book directly to them. ( if Im not mistaken )

As soon as we arrived, we instantly felt welcome and at home! Roberto - the owner was there to greet us and was the nicest guy! Mae Mae, the reception manager, checked us in early as our rooms were ready! The rooms / beds were big and spacious, clean and had an lCD tv, plus a fridge/freezer and we could even make our own ICE! (It's the little things) we had Aircon too ...

The Balilis are the most friendly and most helpful hosts of any hostel ive ever stayed at. Gloria, Archie, Kenneth, Rodnel - the entire family makes you feel at home. The house is very old but is beautiful and has a rich history - there are signs of it everywhere (furniture, newspaper clippings), but dont be surprised to see some ants and bugs around (its the philipp...

First let me say that the host Veronica is one of the loveliest most warm people I have met in the Phils. Prospective guests however should note the following. It’s in a lovely quiet spot but to access u need a motorbike(Veronica rents these at a good rate) so if you can’t ride u may need to reconsider staying here. My room was small, but ok...but no warm water as hws ...

I booked with this hostel for a 1 night trip in Bohol. Beautiful facade, location, amenities, and staff. The interiors were perfectly designed with eco-friendly materials. It was good 5 minute walk from Alona beach. The airport bus also stops in front the hostel so it's very convenient going to and from the airport. The doors in each room are equipped with digital door...

what i can say here will be not enough to thanks the staff & management. but fore those who read review all i can say is ones you enter the resort you will meet friendly & helpful staff as well they are very good to take care of little kids even though its not part of there job, the manager & the onwer they are so helpful & well infometic about all around of bohol, the...

Great place to stay. Not at the busy Alona beach but 5min away by motorbike. Quiet, super cheap food just in front of the street, pool to get a refreshment and beautiful place. Rooms are very basic and water is not always at its best, but it is a general problem on this island.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Spirit of Norway! We stayed here for four nights. First of all, we arrived a day early and the manager Dimitri, gave us the same deal we got on Agoda so we didn't have to pay any more. The room itself was spotless, spacious and modern. We had a huge balcony, lovely modern and clean bathroom and a living area with cable TV & excellent...

Location: 10 min walk from Port of Tagbilaran. In front of University of Bohol. Place: It has gate. and inside the inn is so cozy and instagrammable. Room: We booked the DOUBLE ROOM and stayed for 1 night. The CR is very very small. EVERYTHNG IS GOOD, EXCEPT THAT SMALL CR. -ThanJoooooooooo

For the price I would pay which was 10USD for the twin room, i would say the place was GOOD..we had two double beds and wide room for me and my dad. I am very pleased with my stay, we decided to spend another night at the place. The owner leaves nearby, so if we had any complains or request it was as smooth as. I will recommend the place for families and couples travel...

The hotel is far from the main bars and restaurants (cca 3km), even from the main road. This means you have to walk in the night to the main road and then to ride a taxi/tricycle to the centre of the village. Or to order at the reception a tricycle for 150 PHP. Which 100 Php goes to the driver and 50 Php is the hotel fee.. In the hotel room all the equipment is import...

This is the first time for me to write a review ever. Usually I don't care but I feel that this hotel really deserve it. The staff were more than supportive. We asked to move to another cottage with better view and we were transferred there with ease even that it seemed bigger and better from the inside. the hotel has the best view to enjoy especially the pool. You cou...

the hotel is about 1.5h away from the bohol airport, in the quiet area of anda. facility wise: jacuzi, swimming pool, pool table. lobby and eating area taking great advantage of the fantastic view. rooms were clean, well maintained. no aircon in the room though. staff was polite, well informed, attentive and discreet. hotel food, if priced above local standards ...

I had only booked for one night, but found Bluewater a beautiful stop off on a 2 day trip to Bohol and Panglao... A real sense of peace in the resort, with marvelous rooms (I have stayed in bigger, and fancier, but not sure I have ever stayed in one that gave me such a sense of peace. The pool and pool bar were small/medium, but beautifully formed! The resta...

Magic Oceans is a great resort. However, it is primarily tailored to hardcore divers and wealthy tourists. The excellent quality of the rooms, modern style, and affordability of the price per night for a bungalow defines a Magic Oceans stay. The staff is extremely knowable and friendly. The pool and grounds are clean and well maintained. BUT the cost of the amenit...

As people who work in the hospitality and accommodation industry, we were blown away with the thought and attention to detail that Marc and Rose have put into their accommodation. We really enjoyed our stay at Bohol White House! Our room was very clean and the pool was great to relax by. Roger and Juliet are very accommodating including breakfast in which they were able to adapt to our dietary requirements. Even though the location is a bit further from the town, it is nice and quiet, and Roger would give you a lift to the bus stop or you can re...

The overall impression of the resort was it was dated and the rooms weren't as clean as hoped. However, the staff were all super friendly and the resort itself was very quiet, nice and peaceful. I especially LOVED the Mangrove sunset walkway privately owned by the resort. It was the best sunset I've seen and I will definately go back just for that. The sunset makes ev...

The experience was incredible. Beautiful and silence resort with wonderful beach! We spent one whole day for the swimming poil and sun bathing, that was so relaxing with high privacy. From the moment Nelly & I arrived we felt so blessed to have chosen this place which was like our own personal 5 star Hotel with Private Elite Super Clean pool. Thus had Wow factor. We had such a pleasant stay. The owners are really friendly and welcoming, they make a simple but nice breakfast and you have the opportunity to have dinner (with a nice bottle of wine!). The bungalow + surrounding is great. There is a pool, a nice garden and you can rent scooters. We loved the location: it's quiet but also close to town and other must see sights. We r...

I've been to Bohol several times in the past few years and I always choose to stay close to Alona Beach because it has that good balance of both relaxation, peace (with a gorgeous white sand beach), and a bit of fun and activity (not TOO quiet, boring or empty). The Amorita Resort is by far the best resort I've stayed at in Bohol - and I can say it could be one of th...

I think I had the best time staying in this resort, the pool is huge, I stayed like 2 hrs in it, and the staff were all great. The staff are extremely nice and accomodating, the front desk staff are very helpful and they help me a lot like booking and stuff. The restaurant staff were awesome. I just had a really great stay in Bohol Shores, I will definitely go back.

We stay in the hotel from 12 July to 17 July. We choose this hotel as per the picture show and indeed, what you see in the picture does not justify how beautiful the hotel is in real. This holiday if for me and my Bf's anniversary and the staff makes it extra special as they gave us a complimentary cake for our Anniversary celebration. This may seems to be a small th...

Worst experience ever!!!! Our booking has been redirected to booking.com as an overbooking. We were told by the staff when we've arrived at their front desk. Though they reserved rooms for us at another hotel but didn't inform us before our arrival.

Rent a bike and travel around. Bohol is a good place to experience long bike rides. Or take the local bus transport.
Best way going by local tour, if going by ourselves will take longer time. we have paid for only 2,000 peso whole day, going around including Loboc lunch river cruice, chocolate hill, Tarsier conservation area etc, very worthed.
Bohol's main attraction is in Panglao, although there are other parts of Bohol that is yet to be discovered like Anda and Candijay.
I saw the old churches. I just hope they get to restore it soon. I liked Loboc River and Chocolate Hills
FIRST OF ALL BOHOL IS NOT A CITY...ITS A PROVINCE...OR ISLAND....TAGBALARIN....IS THE MAIN CITY ALONA BEACH IS WERE WE WENT.
First of all, Bohol is not a city but an island with many cities and towns. We enjoyed the visit to the tarsier sanctuaries and chocolate hills very much.
The attractions such as Tarsier Park and Chocolate hills is a must to see when you are in this island.
bohol has it all, beach, culture, nature, food. not to mention their kind and friendly people. when in bohol a must visit are the, chocolate hills of course which bohol is famous for and the philippine tarsier - smallest primate.
Full of Friendly locals that are genuine in trying to assist you and make your stay memorable. Lots of things to do and explore, from relaxation, to the immense culture, to the hair raising daredevil activities.
A bit expensive for the poor structure. Nice place to visit, good dives. Chocolate hills and tarsiers sanctuary is worth it, the rest of the tour (butterfly sanctuary, the python - that is dead now, blood compact.
This is my second time in Bohol and I think this island has a lot to offer. It survived the earthquake of 2013 but a lot of it's major landmarks i.
BOHOL OFFERS BEST MONEY VALUE FOR YOUR VACATION ACTIVITIES. THE PLACE IS SO PEACEFUL AND TRAFFIC IS UNLIKE OTHER PLACES.
nice place plenty of things to visit just rent a moto for 350 pesos 24 hours and youll be the boss to visit the chocolate hills, honey bridge, the cave, the small tessier, the jungle and many other places.
nice place and a lot of things to see around, medium prices but you have to negociate....its ok for a trip.
There isn't a city called Bohol so i don't know what your referring to..if you mean Tagbilaran the capital then it is just alright as it is crowded and busy as are most larger filipino cities, i do find that the inhabitants can be alot more friendly towards foreigners and not stare so much and be rude especially the filipino men.
Happy to see the place clean and tidy. Loboc river is well looked after. Food is not too great but the locals are very friendly thus making the holiday easier and relaxing.
bohol really nice .. i must back there again .... u can have fun every day .. every night .
Bohol has the richness of its white beaches and clear water and amazing countryside tour, chocolate hills was beautiful.
I love Bohol, been here several times. But its my first after the major earthquake some two years ago.
Fantastic area but be aware that flights are always late and frequently cancelled. Have a backup plan
The province of Bohol has many tourist attractions to accommodate a wide variety of travelers. Aside from the beach, we saw the old churches that unfortunately were heavily damaged by the earthquake two years ago.
We LOVE Bohol! Churches, waterfalls, caves, beaches, attractions, nature, activities! It has everything!
I stayed in Bohol for 4days. I went to Balicasaq for snowcooling and I had experiences for tour some famouse place like chocolate hill and Tarsier monkey and so on.
Had so much in Bohol , i highly suggest you visit Bohol soon , i assure you will definitely enjoy it here too.
Bohol is a really nice place. It's not too modern and the island has preserved its culture and natural resources.
It is one of the more developed island within the Philippines. Roads, airport access, tourism places organization are much better than standard in the rest of Philippines.
It's a beautiful place but nothing compare to Palawan & Boracay...But the chocolate hills is something you never see somewhere else but only in Bohol.
If you have chance to stay in Bohol, I highly recommend you to go Panglao. Great view, and there are many activities.
The main city on Bohol Island is Tagbilaran which has both ferry terminal and an airport. The city itself is not the real attraction - best to get out and stay in one of the many resort / beach locations, all of which have a good selection of tours to all the famous attractions and offer various transport options.
