"This hotel was recommended to me by an acquaintance. Even though there are Bangkok hotels which looked more impressive through my research, thought I'd just trust the first hand experience for myself and book Asia Hotel. I would say Asia Hotel is the finest hotel and value for money I have ever stayed. 5 star service. Staff are patient and willing to go the extra mile. They are very efficient in providing what they can to help you. You will not regret it! I am already wanting to visit Bangkok again and Asia Hotel you deserve my business!! Highly recommend. The breakfast buffet is very decent too, I love the fried rice!! Not to mention it is extremely convenient to the main shopping central of Bangkok. Good work and thank you Asia Hotel!"

"we stayed in the baiyoke sky hotel in bangkok for one night at the end of travelling around thailand for two weeks. it was a great experience. the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was luxurious, the views amazing and the choice of restaurants/food was vast. if you are planning on doing some shopping in bangkok this hotel is ideally situated not far from the mbk shopping centre - great for some bargains. the baiyoke sky does a free shuttle service to and from the centre. one downside was the location - if you wanted to venture out to eat you had to get a taxi as there were no good restaurants within walking distance (although there was a few mcdonalds/kfcs for fast food convenience). having said that, getting a taxi/tuc tuc around the city is so cheap - around 100-150 bhat (£2-3) for a 20-30 minute taxi ride - you can't really complain! although the lobby and bedrooms were luxurious and modern there were some areas of the hotel that are in need of some renovation. for example, the pool/gym area - decorated a bit like a kids zone didn't quite fit in with the rest of the elegant decor. overall, i would recommend the baiyoke sky hotel although book online in advance for better deals as the rates on arrival is very expensive. "This is my second visit since last year. Showed some improvement at receptionist counter (More attentive and polite). Check in and out was fast, paid deposit of THB2000 for 3 nights by credit card which will be refund when you check out (Hotel in Bangkok need deposit during stay, so is ok for me). Booked Luxury Room at Main Tower, rooms are spacious, clean with stable wifi and clean big bath room with clean bathtub, everything as show in Agoda website. Only downside is the bathroom, very slippery floor, so be careful everyone. (I nearly fell a few times during my stay, hope something can be done before accident happens for other guest). Last of all, this hotel is very close to most shopping center in Pratunam and there are a lot of small night stall outside hotel and famous chicken rice are just opposite of hotel but will need to walk around 15-20 mins to reach nearest BTS. Will still choose to stay here if there's room promotion on my next trip to Bangkok."

"I travel to Bangkok a lot and have stayed in many Bangkok hotels. Especially after a long haul flight, arriving here is the perfect refreshment. Drinks from the bar are reasonably priced and access to the sauna, steam room and gym are free. The wifi works perfectly in all areas of the hotel making it easy to catch up on work. The Radisson Blu Plaza has become my favourite hotel in Bangkok by a long shot. I would (and have) paid more than triple to stay in a hotel of equal quality. My one criticism of The Radisson Blu Plaza is that there are no bottles of water available in the sauna and steam room. Water is available freely in the gym and rooms, so you can still bring your own. "

"A regular visitor to Thailand I stayed in the excellent Ambassador Hotel on Soi 11off Sukhumvit this time. I say excellent because the standard is exactly how a €40+ per night 4 star in Bangkok should be.The Ambassador is a big property with many amenities. The reception area is huge and the staff are friendly and efficient. My luggage was taken from the Taxi and appeared in my room within minutes of me entering my room. The initial impression you get when you walk in to the reception area is 5 star but the rooms put it firmly back in the second division. They are not bad but quite basic. Everything works and at this price you can't ask for more. The WiFi is free and strong but does require constant re-entering of passwords which is annoying at first but you get used to it. Room cleaning is efficient and flexible. Long low timber ceiling corridors give it a kind of old cruise liner feel. Restaurants, Bars, Massage studio, Gym, Tailoring shops, health spa and several coffee shops are among it's many features. And of course that great location close to everything. Some of the best restaurants in Bangkok are here. The very expensive but superb El Gaucho Steakhouse, one of 2 in the area, is right next door. For Mexican try the Coyote across the road. And round the corner the Firehouse serves the best burgers in Bangkok. An Aussie Bar also across the road serves up the traditional full breakfast. I would recommend the Ambassador as a budget hotel without hesitation. "

"Centara has 2 hotels in Bangkok, this one and Centara Grand at Great world - don't get mixed up. The one at Great World is the bigger (and more expensive) one - but there you also are facing more traffic jams. But it all depends on the purpose of your visit. I did stay in Centara Grand at Central Plaze because we had meetings in Chon Buri, Rayong and Bangkok as well - and this location made it quite easy and fast to travel to the Eastern Sea Board and also to access the business district in Bangkok without too much jam. Also, if you are going back to the new airport in the early afternoon it takes only 30 minutes (taxi approx. 300 Baht). The check-in was fast and efficient, staff at this place very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nicely renovated (have stayed here before a few years back), amenities are well sorted and whatever you need is available. Breakfast is amazingly good, huge spread of different foods, good bread and nice coffee, service a bit slow at rush hour times. The Cappucino Caffee (part of the coffee house) offers cakes, snacks and nice salads if you don't want to eat a full meal. Housekeeping and Engineering function well - no reason at all o complain. Internet seems to be a bit difficult, there is a relatively new law in Thailand regarding wireless log-in - so, it needs some time to get it all set up. Anyhow, if you want to eat somewhere else and not in the hotel (they have several different restaurants, though), there is easy access directly from the hotel to Central Plaza where you can find plenty of restaurants and a decent food court (The Loft) as well. At the same time you can get all your shopping needs covered in this shopping centre - or you take the MRT to other big malls not so far (don't try taxi because that might take a very long time, depending on traffic conditions, which are usually bad). The hotel is still in a kind of upgrading process (by mens of administrative organisation), i.e. check-out at present is a bit slow - but ok."

"I really love my stay in Bangkok Hotel. When I went to Bangkok for a week I stayed in 3 different hotels and this hotel is the best that I can say --- value for money and clean and nice breakfast. They are always fully booked so you have to book early and in case they refer you to their old hotel please don't take it. Since they always have a lot of guest their breakfast always runs out fast but they keep refilling the food containers however expect a queue. The front desk girls doesn't smile (at all or most of the time) but they will help and guide you with whatever are your concerns."

"It was one of the best options in Bangkok for my requirements, Bangkok nightlife it is. Pros: - The hotel is rather high, so if you book a room on a floor 15+ you would have a good view on Bangkok; - both hotel towers have their own pool zones that are not on the ground level, which is also good; - the sky rail is easily accessible, about 2 minutes walk from the hotel; - there are several night clubs and rooftop bars nearby; - Nana Plaza is also close, about 5 minutes walk; - the room that I booked (Deluxe Suite) was very spacious with all the necessities (an iron and a board were a pleasant surprise); - no bad odors whatsoever; - absolutely no noise from the streets and surrounding areas; - big safe box that can store not only your wallet, documents and a camera but also several gaming laptops; - aircon is really quiet; - big mirrors in both rooms are conveniently placed and were pretty useful for me; - there is also no joiner fee, so you can call it a guest-friendly hotel; Cons: - interiors are pretty shabby: scratches and scuffs are everywhere on wooden surfaces. I have to mention that my opinion is based on the room that I booked (Deluxe Suite). There is a chance that if I to book another type of room my impression wouldn’t be the same; - the gym is terrible! Everything is old, matts are dirty and pillows on benches have a lot of cracks so the insides are exposed, the ceiling has signs of running water or something in the past; Not a con, just a note: I was asked for a deposit of 1000 baht, never happened to me before. The deposit was returned at the checkout of course."
