"My family 3 day break at Pondok Barata Dapdap cottages was the best get-away we have had. Everything about the delightful cottage was perfect: the comfortable bed–– the best sleep in years–– the relaxing wooden family room, the wooden set of lazy chair –– and the verandah with its shade under the Dapdap tree and gorgeous garden, the view of the sunrise and crystal waters of the caldera Toba, where we ended each day with a few glasses of hand-picked yellow wild chrysanthemum tea which we pick out of the wilderness in the area. Across the lake water is the island of Samosir with surrounding isles and beautiful colorful rocks under the shallow water are the stuff lazy lake vacation dreams are made of. We paddled in the calm water, laying and drifting away on the calm water with afternoon breeze against our skin, laughing over lake swing with splashing water. After the sunset, we savored traditional local grilled meat & fish."
