Awesome house, ideal for families or groups of friends.”

Great and spacious house, has everything required to have a comfortable stay. The house is located in a secluded street, so the privacy and silence to have a well rested night is top. The kitchen is fully equipped!
The location of the house makes it hard to walk to the town center, therefore is highly recommended to come by car to the house. It is not a deal breaker at all, since one can be within 2-3mins in the center by car.

Great large house in the middle of nature”

Very spacious house, clean, well furnished with great views and great landscape. Close to town, yet far away so you can have peace. You need a car, for sure.
Part of a great house and stay is the shower facilities. This is the négatif point. I do not mind waiting for a long time for the hot water but the shower faucets should be easy to use. It is time to renovate and invest a bit.

Paradise in Santa Elena”

Fantastic place to stay. The views are amazing and I have never seen such a well equipped kitchen in a rental house. Herman the caretaker gave us a very interesting tour of the grounds, including animal spotting and learning about the Medicinal Plants. The cakes at panaderia jimenez, just across from the entrance are worth a try too.
The only minus is that the road isn't great to walk along to get to restaurants or town. However the outstanding location and peace more than makes up for having to use the car to go anywhere.

Plenty of room in the house and beautiful grounds”

Really need a car to get anywhere. Herman did a tour of the grounds and we saw a sloth, armadillos, aguti and much more. The view was exceptional, and the house had plenty of space.
Not enough cutlery for seven people. Woken early with dogs barking and cockerels crowing so take earplugs for sleeping.

Meet nature and relax in the middle of Monteverde area”

Beautiful well equipped house on a well maintained park-like property. In the wild and near the city. Herman is lovely, patiently introducing us to the estate, the wildlife, the farm, herbs. in Spanish.
Somewhat outdated tv, dvd, cd etc. Better take it out or replace with stuff from this century.

We loved it!”

The property with the adjoining farm is so relaxing and the caretaker was very welcoming, gave a great tour of the flora/fauna and the highlight for our children was visiting the baby chickens.
Small things could be better supplied like laundry detergent, paper towels, bath soap that I would expect in most home rentals. Television and kitchen items could use updating.
