"For the most part, I enjoyed my stay at the EXE. I had a room on the 5th floor. There was a door to the connecting room and the first night, there were some very loud people in there and I could hear EVERYTHING. That went on until after 2 AM. From that point on, everything was fine. The room was modern and large. Despite the description on the website, all the beds are Queen size and not King. The hotel doesn't look like much on the outside and the lobby is pretty non-descript, but inside it is very modern and clean. I did not opt for the breakfast because it was a whopping $15 a day. The hotel is centrally located in San Jose and close to all the attractions in the city center such as the gold and jade museums. I wouldn't say that downtown San Jose is a pretty city. It is pretty gritty for the most part. But, if you want to be in the city center and don't want to pay too much, the EXE is a good option."
