Bersatagi is located in nearby two volcanos, Sibayak and Sinabung. Hiking is very good and chalanging.

View of the Mt Sinabung is breathtaking. Can be seen from Gundaling approximately 16km distance. We are also brought to the 6km distance at night to watch the flowing lava from Sinabung.

THE FRUITS MARKETS IS VERY DIRTY AND CONJESTED. THE PRICE IS ACTUALLY KILLING ...VERY EXPENSIVE AND NOT ENCOURAGE TO VISIT!!!

You can see Sinabung Volcano and SIbayak volcano. Ride horse and have sugar cane juice plus fresh corn.

Brastagi basically is a very small town, where the weather is cold because it is located on the mountain area about 100 meter above sea level.

Never go Berastagi on weekedays as it will be very boring. Many activities are only open on weekends and public holidays.

Very cooling place. It is best to find lodging at countryside and take public transport as when required.

Nice and fresh fruits and vegetables are produced here. Lots of export fresh fruits and vegetables are from berastagi.

Good environment with cold weather. Horse ride is another attraction in Brastagi and the price is less than $15 per half hour per ride per person.

Actually the place is very good for relaxing but right now sinabung mountain is going to explode so the air is poluted.

This city has a cool climate, set its a great place to relax and enjoy the fresh air, Fresh food and Bustling Markets at Brastagih.

A town with cool surrounding and lots of interesting places, such as market, hill stations and gardens.

Fresh air city with Fresh fruit and vegetables. Remember to visit fruit and vegetables market, riding horse, eat sweet grill corn.

This place is only good for people who like hiking. This place is not suitable for family trip, especially with children and elder.

Cool weather and good shopping but must bargain; easily by 50%. However, due to the eruption of Mt. Sinabung the week before, the place was covered with volcanic ash.

Berastagi is a nice city with cool weather and greeny, many fresh fruits and hystoritical and cultural area, friendly people and so more the best things.

Is a place for the people from the nearer town to run away from heat. But for us from others country, really not a right place to stay overnight unless you must stay in the town for business purpose.

The streets that are less good, so be careful. In this place, you have to go to "Pasar Buah", there are many fresh fruit and vegetable with cheap prices.

Berastagi city is not recommended. i heard some thief. i did make sure it when i saw the restaurant there.

Brastagi is a well-known in medan. It is located on the montain site and whenever you are heading to Lake-toba, you will pass brastagi.

I don't have much information about the town because I stayed there only 1 night. Anyway I just love the weather there even the town don't have many interesting places to see.

Tongging is a great place to visit. It is the other side of Lake Toba. The lake is placed a low land, with some kind of hill surround.

1/2 an hour from Medan. A Karo Regency. Famous for Gunung Sibayak and Gunung Sinabung. A stop area to go to the well known Lake Toba.

Berastagi has beautiful natural environment. The city has space to develop. Not much for shopping but good for relax your mind.

City is situated at a highland and still preserved. Attractions is the local life and there is a food market that sells fruits and souvenirs.

This area was very cold because it consider a highland, you can visit gunung sinabung (~2400m) & gunung sibayak (~2200m) by few hour hiking.

overall is good, but the service here all asking for "tambang", forcing ppl to gv money even we not satisfied with the service.
