1. Overall, it was great. As a student who doesn't need luxurious accommodation but wants to save money, the value for money was really high. It had all the basic necessities such as a bed, bathroom, and refrigerator. This stay was the favorite part of my trip to Singapore because it was affordable. 2. Pros: The bed sheets may have had some old stains, but they were clean and there was no dust. The curtains on the bunk beds were effective in blocking out light. We stayed in a quiet double mixed dorm on the third floor. We couldn't hear any noise from the restaurant downstairs, only the sounds of other roommates moving or talking. However, this depends on whether you have considerate or inconsiderate roommates. The storage locker under the bed was spacious enough to fit two 24-inch suitcases and two large bags. The bathroom provided shower gel (not sure if it was shampoo), and slippers were provided outside the bathroom door so you don't have to walk barefoot on the bathroom floor. One of the front desk staff spoke Chinese (but the other one didn't). Shoes were not allowed in the room, but you could bring your own hotel slippers. However, some people didn't follow the rules and walked in with their shoes on. The air conditioning was cold and comfortable, but it was turned off during cleaning time, so it might get hot then. It's about a five-minute walk from the MRT station (exit G from Raffles Place is the fastest). 3. Cons: After leaving the room, there was a smell of oil fumes in the bathroom and near the washing machine at night. However, clothes hung overnight didn't have much of a smell. There was only one iron rack in the bathroom for placing things, but it was high up, making it difficult for people under 160 cm to reach. It's recommended to bring a basket to hold toiletries. The room door requires a key card to enter and exit, but the cleaning staff would use a door stopper to keep the door from locking. This is unsafe for guests, and when we raised the issue with the front desk, they only suggested that we remove the door stopper ourselves, but didn't take any specific action. The laundry service was expensive at SGD 12, and the clothes may not be completely dry after drying. It's best to check them before taking them out. Breakfast is no longer provided. There was only one hair dryer available.

The hostel is located in a bustling food and drink district, but inside it is very quiet. You don't have to worry about being disturbed at night because there is a riverside restaurant downstairs that is open almost all night. It is very convenient to travel to Merlion or Garden by the Bay. The location is great and the price is good. The rooms are also very good. In the female dormitory, there are 4 bathrooms, but I never had to wait. The allocation is very good, and there are lockers and beds. If your luggage is too big, you can put it outside. It's comfortable and impressive. If I have the opportunity, I will definitely stay there again.

The hostel is located in the heart of the city, close to the Klcc area. It is very convenient to travel alone by taking the MRT to Raffle station and walking out to find UOB. There are restaurants along the riverbank. The hostel has a white door and is located next to a Chinese restaurant. They provide free drinking water and coffee. The bathroom is small but just right. The bed is comfortable and the price is worth it. 😊

I stayed for 3 nights. Location: I got lost a bit finding the hostel when I just arrived, but after I became familiar with the surrounding, the location is in fact very closed to bus stops and also MRT. Chinatown is also not too far. At night time, the surrounding is very crowded by people who enjoy their dinner at the restaurants. Many people also spend time near the river. Lively area. Quiteness/noise: Even though surrounding the hostel is crowded (in front of restaurants), but the noise did not get through the room. My first nite was very quite even though the room is full. The room tenants were all very considerate to keep the room quite so people can sleep well. The 2nd nite was very noisy by 2 ladies who packed and unpacked their luggage till after mid nite. one of them slept next to my bed and kept bumping the wall. very annoying and not considerate. Same thing with 3rd nite which was worst as one chinese lady did the packed and unpacked luggage until almost early morning. I couldn't sleep until 3.30am due to her noise (zip un zip, dropped thing etc). I talked to her to do it later in the morning as everybody need to have a sleep, yet she kept doing it. the rule was actually written to be quite between 10pm - 7 am but they ignored it. I think management should remind and add to the rule that between those hours, if they want to pack unpacked their luggage, they should do it outside room so they don't bother other people time to sleep. Cleanliness: Bedroom and bathroom were clean. they clean up the bedroom and bathroom every morning. Shoes are to be put outside on stairs. One tenant put her shoes inside and I told her in the morning that shoes are supposed to be outside and she moved it. Cleaning time: I read somebody complain in their review about cleaning boy who came to the ladies room to do cleaning service. Yes, it is valid. the last two days, the cleaning service was done by a boy who came in around 9 am (the day before was done by a lady who also came very early while I was busy preparing myself to get ready in the morning). I asked him why he came so early while many of us might still sleep and use the bathroom; while the written rule for cleaning time is between 12 pm - 3pm. He said 12-3pm is for the bed. In my opinion, they should do the cleaning also during those hours 12 -3pm instead of 9 am in the morning as in the morning we are busy and need to do our own activities such as shower, pack unpacked luggage, change clothes etc. Fasilities: No breakfast is provided, but they do provide free coffee, tea and water. They also provide microwave and toaster and refrigerator to use. Many 7 eleven nearby. The hostel provides several pairs of sandals to use to go to the bathroom and also soap. There is a locker for our luggage and bag below the bed. Air Condition is good and cold enough. They provide blanket too. The bathroom for female only room is inside the room. there are 4 bathroom (toilet is at the same room with the shower) On the upper level floor, I saw the bath room and toilet are outside and clean. Look new. Bed The bed size is surprisingly quite spacious. I got upper bed for my 1st nite and for me, it is very scary and dangerous to get up and down the bed. It is kind of difficult to get to the bed. I was really shaking everytime I need to go up to my bed. When I booked, I already message the hostel to give me lower bed as I couldn't do it for upper bed, but they couldn't reserve it for me. but thankfully 2nd nite and 3rd nite, I can move to the lower bed. Later on I see many tenants drag the bed down to the floor, as I believe they also find it difficult to climb. Overall, I enjoy staying in this hostel. Will definitely recommend and mark this hostel as one of my good choices to stay should I need to visit Singapore again, and hopefully the receptionist can help reserve lower bed for me for my next visit and not put me on upper bed again. I went to SG for the first time and booked 2 hostels during my stay. I stayed here in my latter days, and I wished I stayed here solely my entire stay. I like the common area where a lot of guests actually stay to admire the view which was the river, take calls, and even work at night. There was a homey vibe to it, given it’s in the heart of boat quay which was surrounded of restos and pubs. Although it was, I slept well. I like that they let you leave your luggage earlier or even after you checked out. However, make sure there are no valuables as it is placed in the common area. It’s less likely to have your things in SG to get stolen, but still, be cautious… the place has cameras on. I also like that there is a water dispenser that has hot and cold water. A microwave you can also use and a common ref. As for solo women travelers, I like that the bathroom for the women’s rooms are ensuite with comfort room, which are more than enough to share. I have not had problems waiting for my turn. If ever you’re not used to hostels, just be advised that although the hostel is clean, guests can differ and they can be either loud, inconsiderate, and maybe not flushing toilets. So book at your own risk, or bring your own lysol, toilet cleaner, etc for your convenience. Still I would stay again, book longer. This is walking distance to clark quay, chinatown, capita spring, merlion park if that helps!! ❤️
