Relaxing sample of Balinese culture.”

Greeted at the service desk by the ever happy staff, shown to an expansive room, breakfast included, also invited to have a free Balinese buffet dinner, at Parvone restarant, which lended a taste of Bali, a large bar with pool tables and big screens to watch the Australian code live, other sports and horse racing included at other times, serviced the hotel, heavily attended by patrons creating a live atmosphere. Beyond the hotel was a plethora of little shops selling all manour of trinkets to haggle for, bars & restaurants also lined the streets. Around a thousand metre stroll past a couple of resorts (Padma & Mandira) was the beach with surfing in progress and umbrellas and lounges for a price, along th beach was Bhudas Bar, a cool respite from the tropical warmth, with ice cold Bintang & complimentary roasted peanuts. When in Bali I will be staying at Garden View Cottages, the room was better than most my freinds stayed in big name resorts.

Great hotel, perfect location.”

we have stayed at garden view a couple of times and have always enjoyed it.i went with my husband our 16 year old son and his friend.the boys had a great time,as did my husband and myself. the new restaurant at the front of the hotel called pavone is quiet the experience.the food is fantastic and when staying at garden view you get a discount on your bill. i think it was about 15% which is great. the restaurant has great service and entertainment. garden view is in a great location and for the price you pay for a room we think it is really good value.the sports bar at the front of the hotel shows a whole range of sporting channels which my husband loved.

Couldn't fault this resort Good price Location just perfect for all shopping needs .cleanliness perfect bottomn pool great with swim up bar The hidden gem is the top pool wow sunsets by the bar swim up bar adults only.. perfect beautiful area with bean bags cute wooden huts and sun lounges to relax on There is the Y bar out front of hotel with music every night that makes this scene and resort the perfect location to party and not have to go far .Music finishes at a certain time and it adds to the whole Bali atmosphere. Food was great as well plus close to other places to eat. It is close to beach as well. Would highly recommend this resort 200% stayed in a bungalow which was great there are some with adjoining rooms for families which is great staff so friendly helpful will stay here again just PEFECT Great for families plus quite time up top on roof for adults only to hide .......what more could you ask for . Only downfall is service tax charges on bills a little high.

Great location lovely staff”

This is a budget hotel. The rooms are big, the gardens nice and the pool is in the sun most of the day. Every time I used the pool it was lovely and warm and I don't think it ever closes. Bed are comfortable, linen and rooms clean. Staff friendly and very helpful. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The room I had only received local tv but there was a working dvd player. Great location, close to all Legian offers but once on the grounds traffic noise can't be heard. 2 stray cats live there and even though they not friendly they will eat what you leave out. They kept me company when I couldn't sleep. The cons of this hotel are the paper thin walls, can hear the people in the next room cough and the breakfast. This consisted of eggs, poached, fried, scrambled or omelet with bacon, toast, coffee and orange juice. All in all for what you pay this is still value for money. If you are the kind of people that just sleep and have a quick swim and not fussed on all the extras this would be a good place to stay. They have free WiFi in public places and for Bali it wasn't a bad connection

Great hotel if your on a budget ”

when we arrived to the garden view the check in was quick so we were able to get straight to the room to unpack, the room looked amazing and the bathroom size was no than enough. although i had trouble working the safe i went to the lobby to get someone to help and by the time i was back to my room there was already a hotel staff member waiting for me. garden view is a great hotel to stay at whether you want to just lay back or go full on tourist style with it being in the heart of legion there's always something to do and with its cheap prices i fully recommend it

Great location with friendly staff”

We had a great stay at the Garden View in a deluxe room. The staff were friendly and the location is superb. We enjoyed the food there and spent a lot of time by the swimming pool. We think it is really good value for money. The included breakfasts are quite small so if you're a big eater, you might be hungry afterwards. The WiFi worked most of the time in the restaurant but suffered the usual connection problems that you find in Bali. Unfortunately our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we were given a standard room until 7pm. The standard room is very small and basic. The deluxe room is spacious and perfect for a family of 3. We were allowed to checkout late on our last night at no extra cost so it balanced out.

Totally awesome ”

This was my first holiday to Bali and loved it, the location and shopping was on point. The friendliness of staff and facilities at New Garden View Resort was second to none.

Another great stay”

Just spent the last 10 days at the Garden View Resort. Love the staff here, always smiling and so accommodating. There is some renovations going on there at the moment.. to be completed end of 2016, but it didn't bother me. I had a superior pool view room. The pool and pool bar is always great and the location of the resort cant be beat.. Was extremely hot during my stay, so the air conditioning was a welcome retreat. Will be back there again soon.

Great resort for couples and families ”

I was very happy with my stay at the new garden view the property is very clean friendly staff. I stayed in the cottage room Which are the older rooms great size And very clean. My only negative is Breakfast as I am not an egg eater so other than toast which was fine the breakfast option contained bake Veggies noddle sweet and sour pork. Sorry this is not Breakfast. Overall I would stay again thanks

Clean and comfortable cottages”

We had a wonderful stay at the Garden View Cottages in Legian. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were always cheerful and helpful. The gardens within the complex were beautiful and maintained every day. The pool was kept clean and tidy. Breakfast and lunch menus had something for everyone.

New Garden View Resort”

We booked and when arrived was in a garden room right down the back of the resort was little disappointed but with the price I paid could not complain, was very clean but very old. after a couple of days decided to upgrade to the new section and was very easy to do and paid extra but still very cheap

love the Garden view resort just look past the renovations that are going on at the moment its not to distracting over all my family enjoyed our 10 night stay great for $49.00 AUD per night for the 3 of us and breakfast included with 2 rooms as well what more would you ask for. yes I will be staying there again

Central Coasties Review”

Great stay, had poolside rooms so very convenient, heard some noise from teens late at night but nothing to lose sleep over. Currently being rebuilt at front of resort so has temporary check in foyer which at first puts you off. Rooms as good as resort we paid twice as much for at Puri Saron (beachside) so great value. Pool is small & hence very warm but all you needed after a day out. Poolside needs a few more beds & new ones. Breakfast very basic but expected for the price. Overall, value for money but if you plan to be poolside all day, choose elsewhere.

Great Value for the non fussy traveller”

We enjoy the Garden View as it has everything we need in a hotel, clean bedding, clean rooms, aircon and now tea and coffee making facilities. You can upgrade your room if you make a wrong choice, as they have many styles. I would pick the Delux pool side room, the most expensive but the best. Breakfast is good, staff are great, love Made at the pool bar! Great shopping, coffee shop, Santini massage across the road is awesome! Sports bar with a band every night. If you don't like music not the best choice for you, cheers

Must be a good Place - 2nd Stay”

after trying 3 different accomodations within five days i chose to go back to garden view cottages as i felt more comfortable staying there. it had a more laid back feel to it - where you could either party or just kick around the area and relax. the pool wasnt over crowded - you had a choice of the hotel food or a more upmarket restaurant attached to the premises. a bar with three tv and pool table next door. overall eating, shopping and spa experience all around. the beach 5 minutes walk - excellent location overall without the hefty prices.

LITTLE GEM OF A PLACE”

I alwlays spend some of my Bali visits at this accommodation. This depends on my situation. I travelling solo it is a great little spot for cheaper type accommodation which offers a more personal note, although with the current highrise renovations I cannot comment. (I do not like the larger accommodation chains). I have spent time here with my grandchildren who have told me they enjoy it here more than the bigger accommodation we have spent at. It is close to the beach and the YBAR is a part of the complex, offering home channels usually sports orientated. Also hosting the "smaller" person type wrestling which is in reality a comedy type act. This kids loved it immensely.. Although a smaller type pool, it offeres a swimming area for children (about 2-3ft deep) adjoining the deeper pool, so you are able to swim alongside and also be observant to smaller children, The swim up bar that offeres drinks and food is also great with lounging around the pool area. The price usually offeres breakdfast but also due to current renovations it is offered in a different area. My only complaint is the internet is very slow, and not usually obtainable in the room, If this were upgraded to a much better service this would be great. I always tend to spend some time at this hotel on my visits...The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

I was at the New Garden View with a group of 18. All rooms were neat and tidy the staff were amazing. The location of the Hotel was a perfect fit for our needs. Will defenatly be back.

The place to stay in Bali”

New Garden View, Pool Wing, has clean & spacious rooms, friendly & helpful staff. Two great pools, one situated on the roof. Fantastic local, close to shopping & many awesome restaurants.

Must upgrade to Deluxe!”

Had to upgrade to deluxe as the superior was not up to scratch. The bed was only a queen and was very dippy in the middle. Room very small and bathroom rusty. Deluxe room was great. Very close to the pool which is what we were after. The room was large and apart from the brown shower curtain the room was extremely clean. The shower is in the bath and the bath is up a step and they don't provide bath mats which is a tad dangerous but we had an old towel we could use. The staff were friendly enough once we were there a day. Seemed the newby is invading so weren't too welcoming. The biggest downfall for us was the fact that they only had 10 pool lounges and 2 were broken as we are sitting by the pool people and couldn't get a chair. They are renovating which wasn't too much of a problem except on our last night they blew the power, and then they knocked early to clean the room as they had a festival on to get too. Just bad timing. They have built a 2 story section on one side which to us has kind of ruined the whole garden cottage type setting which is a shame but they look nice for those that are into that type of hotel. Still will have the cottage rooms which have been done up. The room we had was also interconnecting so if you need that that is available. The rooms were so big the people next to us has 2 extra single beds I their room with room to spare so good space.

LOCATION”

Beautiful clean great sized rooms, two awesome pools (one roof top) both with swim up bars. Right in the heart of Legian, close to so many restaurants, massage/ nail spots & bars. Was worried at first about being so close to Y Bar, but never heard the music from our 1st floor room in the new section. Incredible friendly, helpful staff.
