“Fine stay for a solo female traveler”
I stayed here for a week as a solo female traveler and enjoyed it. The room is compact and all the space is well utilized. It was the perfect size for one person. Two people in this room would probably be very manageable. There is space under the bed for luggage. There is a spray bottle of something called "A2care ito'oshi" in the room which I am nearly certain is just electrolyzed water, which can be used to disinfect pretty much anything so that was nice to have available. The room has many essentials like a flat tray for eating, a universal outlet and LAN outlet, water kettle, hairdryer, hairbrush, hair tie, disposable washcloth, cotton squares, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo and soap, disposable cups with matcha and coffee powder mixes, a flashlight, etc... Basically everything you could need. Temperature is controlled for the whole building but the room has a fan you can turn on to cool down more but I was comfortable and never needed it. All lights in the room are controlled by a panel built into the bed which was super convenient. Microwave and ice machine are on the top floor alongside the coin laundry machines. The laundry machines are the small washer/dryer combo kind that don't dry very well. I had trouble getting a denim jacket to dry fully so I ended up using the hairdryer on it. There're only 4 machines total and 1 was out of service the duration of my stay so I had to wait for others to finish sometimes. Once I was late by about 20 mins retrieving my laundry and it was no longer there in the machine. I had to retrieve it from the front desk but this was relatively painless to deal with and staff is nice. The spa/public bath was very nice and relaxing, however other guests not understanding the rules even with signs everywhere was frustrating. One woman was in the water in a bathing suite, another walked through with shoes on, and then someone even stole my slippers from the shoe rack????? I had to call the front desk from the hallway about my missing slippers since I didn't want to walk back to my room barefoot, and they were very kindly able to bring me new slippers to the spa though it was difficult to explain in English at first. Roppongi didn't really have anything I wanted to see but the hotel is a short walk to train stations so it was no problem to go elsewhere and then come back. Be aware that a few blocks from the hotel, at night, if you don't look Japanese, foreign men might accost you outside of clubs in English to get you to go in and then scam you. I just ignored them, pretending I didn't understand English. I never ate at the attached Sakura Roppongi restaurant nor did I ever purchase the breakfast so I can't comment on that. Overall I did very much enjoy my stay here and felt like there are a lot of amenities for the low price.
