Ami Hotel is located in central Tromsø. It offers brightly decorated rooms with a fridge, flat-screen TV and free WiFi access. The Hurtigruten Terminal is 5 minutes’ walk away. All the brightly decorated rooms at Ami Hotel have views of the city, mountains or sea. Rooms have either private or shared bathroom facilities. Staff was really helpful and kind. Place was really cosy, nice and clean. I love that it’s a short 30min walk to the beautiful lake ,which is also a viewpoint for northern lights. The lake was frozen and covered in snow and it’s really nice to visit during the day as well. After an early checkout (morning flight) I realised I’ve dropped one side of my ear stud (a really small one) in the showers and they managed to find it during cleaning and mailed it back to my home country. I really appreciate the effort and helpfulness as the earstud has a lot of sentimental value (I hadn’t mentioned it to them). I’m really grateful and it really showed that the staff cared and knew how much this gesture meant to me. Thank you so much really! :)

Ok value for price. Bit noisy rooms though”
I stayed just a night in Ami Hotel. Location is quite good and the rooms are ok, but a bit noisy due to light walls and plumbing of the sinks. As nice it is to have a watersink in the room, you can't help the noise that comes from it, when someone uses it on otherside of the wall or above... It's a bit distracting if you want to sleep and it bothers. Otherwise the hotel and staff was ok.
