The perfect holiday destination ”
Alila leaves you wanting for nothing. The grounds are beautiful, the view breath taking and the staff simply do not miss a beat. We had actually booked elsewhere and after coming here for dinner at Quila we left our other hotel to move here. I highly recommend staying here and we have nothing but thanks to the restaurant manager Nora and all the staff there who made us feel right at home. Even down to the smallest details, such as having our toiletries changed to hers and hers ;). Alila Uluwatu is worth every penny and we will undoubtedly be back.

Not as good as last time”
Beautiful hotel in terms of the location, architecture, and the general aesthetics, however the hotel needs to do the following. 1. Introduce a buffet style breakfast. Theres nothing cool about not having a buffet. Get with the times 2. Sinks were leaking- silicon those gaps 3. Make it easy to turn off the lights in the room so you dont need to be an electrical engineer to figure it out. 4. Dont try and charge over 500 USD for a late checkout. Use some discretion. Most flights out of Bali are late at night.

We also appreciate your suggestions- unfortunately we are not in a position to add the a-la-carte breakfast as we always want to serve fresh small portions breakfast made to order. I am sorry that you did not like it but the menu does go through a change every single day from all hot and cold items. Apologies that the sinks were leaking, I have taken it up with the team and have ensured its rectified. We do have a master switch near the bedside which can be used to adjust the lightings. We will ensure to point this out again during the in Villa Verbal orientations. Also, I did take up with the team on the late check out charges- we have ensured that we are flexible enough on that in future as we generally are. Apologies for this. Food was by far the worst compared to all villas I have been to. Nothing to do in resort and beach is very hard to access to.

Great hotel for honeymooner”
we stayed for 2 nights in alila villas uluwatu for our honeymoon vacation. it was a great choice and no regret at all. once we arrived, we are greeted by the warm staffs and indian ocean facing sofa. the check in process is so nice. the staff explained to us the facility that we can enjoy and the different services that we can choose. after a glass of fresh water, towel and face mist, we started towards our villa by golf buggy. nice view along the way. our first impression after we saw our private villa is awesome. the butler explained very well the detail in our room and a great smile from all the staffs. the room has indian ocean facing cabana which we can have our leisure time there, nice swimming pool and nice bed accompanied by nice song from ipod. in summary, alila villas uluwatu is a great choice for honeymooners and we surely will miss this hotel. hopefully we can come back one day! however, one input for this hotel is the light on the road towards this hotel is very minim. hope the hotel can build some lights so that the possibility of accident can be avoided.

Alila Villas Uluwatu is a marvelous hotel and deserve its accolade and reputation. We booked two one bedroom villa. Villa is fabulous, large room with private pool and cabana. Service is excellent and the view is awesome. We love the complete amenities that are provided in the villas and also the service in the infinity swimming pool. Breakfast is very good but disappointed with the expensive dinner at Cire. The lamb was tough and overcooked, very disappointing. The place is a bit secluded and private and there is only two restaurants inside with okay food (nothing special). Really worth the money that we spent on the villa. Sunset is beautiful but very dark at night with minimal lighting.

We booked for two one-bedroom villas + 2 extra bed and were upgraded to the 3 bedrooms villas at the top of the hill. The view is magnificent, the villa is spacious and detail in design (but not really good quality for the attached wooden furniture). We were provided with a butler and a car. The service is really good, the staff is trained in english and even have a native speaker GRO in mandarin. The butler provided with lots of skill, he can make good coffee, driving, and even can fold the towel into animals shape adding excitement to one of my friends engangement plan in Alila. Our stay was completely unforgettable there, really love their breakfast esp the hotel-made croissant and pineapple ginger jam :) ,the spa is also extremely relaxing,. I don't know how to say "no" to Alila Uluwatu...

Alila Villas Uluwatu Screams Luxury!”
This was our second stay at this resort and we were as blown away as the first time we stayed there. Everything is perfect about this place. All staff were great and nothing was any trouble at all. We loved the food and I had a couple of massages with Nanny who was phenomenal. The villas are absolutely beautiful and they think of everything down to the smallest detail. I loved the his vs her range and all the other amenities provided. We can’t wait to return. We are in Seminyak now and are really missing Alila Villas Uluwatu. This is the absolute ultimate resort - pure luxury and well worth the $$$$.

Amazing Hotel with lovely staff. ”
Top of the cliffs at Uluwatu Bali. We decided to stay at Alila as my wife is 5months pregnant and thought this resort would cater to our needs fully. We were not disappointed. The villas are contemporary with views out to the ocean. Well appointed won all the mod cons and Very private. The staff are Servise orientated. Meaning hey really want to do there very best to make you feel cared for. The food is 5 star and amount the best we ate in Bali. The Wurung especially. I would return and recommend to anyone who is deserving and does not mind paying a little extra for this kind of Servise.

We had six nights at Alila in September 2013 in a luxury ocean view villa. It was truly a wonderful holiday, relaxing, friendly non intrusive staff, clean and comfortable rooms and nothing was too much of a bother. I became ill and was well looked after by the clinic nurse. Due to not being well our plans for a driver and car for the day were delayed and this change was handled without any concerns and we appreciated how easily this was rearranged. Alila is a little out of the way, but due to the availability of private transport etc, this should not worry anyone. When we wanted transport to visit other places of interest and resorts it magically happened. This was our first trip to Bali and we were unsure of where to stay. O arrival to Alila all our fears were allayed as our first impressions of this beautiful place was of wonder and our impressions kept getting positively overwhelmed for the duration of our visit. This is a wonderful resort, book now and you will not be disappointed.

40th Birthday Getaway”
We LOVED our stay at Alila Uluwatu! I surprised my partner for his 40th with a getaway here- and we were both throughly impressed. We stayed in the one bedroom pool villa, which the photos don't do it justice of how stunning it actually is! We were on the 4th level with views to the ocean, and just a gold buggy ride down to the main resort/restaurants/spa and pool. The staff are lovely, happy and so considerate. Butler service is great and easy to order on the iPad app or call directly. We enjoyed just lazing by the main pool drinking cocktails and then swimming in our own private pool later in the day. Food was excellent- recommend eating at both restaurants (for variety.) They had a birthday cake and a goodie box in our room on his actual day- which I hadn't asked for- very thoughtful! We loved it and will be back! Janine the Assistant Manager was great too- shout out to her and all the staff! I can't speak highly enough of. We will be back for our next special occasion!!

Picture perfect place with impeccable service”
Amazing place. The attention paid to details make this place a standout. The hotel design is modern, luxurious, elegant, and the rooms are huge and spacious. You don't need to be a professional photographer to get awesome photos of the place. We loved the wide range of complimentary beauty and spa products that were found in the room and all over the resort. The spa rooms were clean, spacious and relaxing and the spa treatment I had was top-notch. The serenity and awesome views at the hotel also meant that it is out of the way. You can't get to any shops/restaurants outside without calling for a cab. Food prices in the hotel are on the high side but they definitely served up the quality to justify that. The best Balinese meal we had throughout our nine-day trip to Bali this time was at The Warung in Alila. We also loved the desserts from Cire. There is an awesome private beach at Alila if you are willing to walk down 600+ steps (and up after that). Kudos to the friendly and pleasant staff who accompanied us and even carried towels and water for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alila. We'll be back!

Definitely gonna be there again”
Unlike those typical luxurious villas on Uluwatu cliff, Alila provides me with an unique experience during my stay in Bali. Restaurants, gym, library, public swimming pool and the views from the lobby, ur room and sunset cabana r as good as u can see from their website, but the butler service there is superb beyond description. Paragliding near the hotel is strongly recommended.

Great Hotel, Great Service, Beautiful Architecture”
We truly enjoyed our 1 day stay at Alila Villa Uluwatu. Once when we arrived at the location, our breath was taken away by the beautiful architecture. As our experience of travelling on the golf buggy to the villa slowly unfolded the rest of the compound before our very eyes, we were amazed. We brought our 1 year old baby, and the villa was so well equipped that we did not need to bring any of her belongings from home. Baby was happy, and so were we.

A truly beautiful hotel”
Spent a week at Alila Villas Uluwatu to recharge our batteries and we certainly managed to do this. Our villa was stunning and extremely comfortable - basically we didn't feel the need to leave it but did force ourselves on one trip but were happy to get back. The staff and general facilities are first class. We can thoroughly recommend this resort to anyone who wants to get away from it all.

everything you want in a holiday/getaway, this place ticks all the checklist. except, the actual natural environment, is so-so. when i say this, i'm comparing with a luxury resort in the maldives, but of course, this is not comparable. firstly, bali waters is obviously nothing like maldivian beaches. but the hotel makes up for that in everything else. great service, good food (comfort food and otherwise), great pools. everything is awesome. we like the discreet, non-judgemental service. must come here as couple. we managed to get away from our 3 month old for 4 days to come to alila uluwatu. husband likes it so much, he said he's definitely coming back here with our little one.

Excellent Resort Destimation”
Alila Villas Uluwatu boasts panoramic view of the Indian Ocean. Throughout our stay, my wife and I were well taken care of. As it was my wife's birthday, the manager arranged for a cake and lovely flowers to celebrate this special occasion. Activities available was limited, though if your idea of Bali is a scenic location, staying in beautiful hotel, warm and friendly staff, then Alila Villas offers a great option. Highly recommended.
