Habitaciones correctas con agua caliente y minifrigorifico. Zona cercana al centro dd Ubud (5min apie). Conjunto del hotel muy bonito 8,3 Hotel muy agradable con dueño muy acogedor. Se adaptan a tus requerimientos. Estuvimos 4 dias que nos permitieron conocer a los dueños y disfrutar los atardeceres con las vistas a los campos de arroz. Pudimos cenar alli mismo algundua ( 1 noche le pedimos un plato de fruta unicamemte , y te bien caliente). No tiene aire acondicionado pero en octubre es suficiente con un ventilador). Muy buena comunicacuon con el centro de Ubud. Barrio es muy tranquilo. Consejos: hacer compras: Todas las calles de Ubud estan llenas de tiendas para poder comprar, peto a diferencia del resto, aqui esta lleno de tiendas de arte.

Solo Netherlands, 16 de abril de 2013	Great little home away from home Romantic rooms, small pool and views from the balcony 9 We stayed 3 days longer than planned as this little place is just hard to leave. There is no aircon in the room and they are not very luxurious in the western sence, but very romantic and well equipped. And what great views from the balcony of room nr 202! The rooms have high ceilings and are very airy. Liked the sleeping with sounds of jungle around me. Staff is very very sweet and helpfull, not all speak very well English tho.

The hotel facilities are superb, with traditional Balinese architecture and a nice swimming pool; my terrace had a beautiful view on the jungle and the room was quiet so the night was really pleasant (just one thing, the bathroom was acceptable but could be improved). It is also ideally located, close to Ubud’s main street but still in a quiet area. Special praise to the breakfast and the banana pancakes that were delicious! And also to the staff for its really good and friendly service.

You walk through the family coumpound behind ornamented walls with statues and a big, lush garden. It is like walking into another, mysterious world. It is all very well kept and clean. I have seen many of these homestays in Ubud and Gunung Merta was defenitely the prettiest and cleanest. The pool is also beautiful. Breakfast is good and the staff very friendly and helpful. It is a little ways to the center though, depending on where you want to go it is almost a good 20 mins walk (for example to Monkey Forest Sanctuary or Yoga Barn) and not just steps away as it says in the description. The garden view rooms are simple but nice. The verandah with view into the lush green jungle was pretty, the room spacious and clean. The bathroom is ok but rather old and simple, water pressure in the shower pretty bad. I dont know if this was only in my room, but the mattress had a strange smell. I didn't notice it right away, but when I did it was strong, musty or mouldy, and I was always glad when I got out of the room. Other than that I enjoyed my stay there and I would recommend the hotel.

A well-stocked supermarket is located opposite of the hotel where you can get most of your needs there. The speed and coverage of WIFI in the room is acceptable if you compare to the average speed in Bali. Good breadfast.

Very peaceful settings. 7,7 The staff is very helpful and nice. The hotel is a traditional Balinese compound and has a very peaceful feel. There is a lovely pool towards the back. The included breakfast was very good.

Solo United States of America, 14 de febrero de 2013	Exotic but comfortable good breakfast, comfortable bed, very friendly staff, felt very safe, beautiful gardens and view, pool 8,7 i stayed at gunung merta for 10 days while i was in ubud. it's not a luxury hotel in some obvious ways: a small fan but not air conditioning, open air roof. but i found these features a welcome part of my bali experience. it's almost essential to experience bali in this way, especially if you are travelling alone or on a budget. i was actually very comfortable in my room with just the fan as long as i was on my bed and had the fan pointed in my direction. i could also open the balcony door and front door for a nice cross breeze. i didn't find mosquitoes a problem even with the open air roof because they provided mosquito coil every evening at turn down service. my room was spacious and had a nice balcony with a view. there was the occasional gecko on my wall, but i found that a charming part of being in bali. i also heard ceremonial drum music in the distance every night between 7:30 and 8:30. i guess a lot of people would not yet be in their room for the night at this time. there was a refrigerator in my room which was very useful. Consejos: hacer compras: There is a supermarket and a produce market/juice stand nearly right across the street. Great for stocking up on bottled water or other snacks. You can even get a sim card for your phone there so you can use it in Bali, very cheap.
